BUG -- Permanently stuck in group

I wanted to try my Sorcerer tank out in a pledge so ran the Silver pledge to Blackheart. He rolled thru it with ease. I need some tweaks to the build but it's doing what I expected. Anyways, after we killed the captain I thanked everyone and left the group. I ported back to Grahtwood to claim my silver key and.. I was back in the group with 2 of the other players. Now we can't leave the group. We've logged out, quit, tried disbanding, pressing "X" from the group screen doesn't work. We're permanently a group now.

WTF did ZOS do to this game with this Update?!

Oh, wonderful... searching the knowledge base I found this...

This bug sometimes occurs when a group leader disbands the group while members are loading into a zone. It will be addressed in a future patch.

In the meantime, a player can leave the group they are stuck in by logging out and back in again.

Should the problem persist, the player should contact Customer Support for further assistance.

Of course logging out did no effing good. I'm still stuck in the group when I log back in. Way to go, ZOS! You've successfully implemented "forced grouping"

    Finally!

It appears everyone in the group has to quit, not simply log out, and the game will finally abandon the artificial group it created.

OMG what a pain in the ass that was.

easy fix, go to another area, degroup and don't come back to the former area until you've regrouped with SO else, otherwise you'll be regrouped automatically with your former partners.

BTW now to quit a group u can't just type p+x, you have to do p+x+e (thx zos, that's really something we needed... )
High Kinlady Estre was right ! Hail to the Veil !

We tried going to different zones but it still wouldn't let us degroup even then. Eventually we all quit (logging out wasn't enough) and it gave up the group. Total PITA.
