Snipe skill NEEDS NERFING

I could be riding around PvP on my horse an out of the blue an invisible nightblade pops out of the bushes and knocks me off my horse. Bad situation but I can get out of it, right? Wrong. As soon as they hit you with one snipe they animation cancel or something and hit you four or five more thus killing you, all in the two seconds you've been off your horse. This makes nightblades super op even in regular combat

what happens is the time it takes snipe to hit you is long so we can teleport strike and start finishing you by the time it hits. Free info

Even in general combat they do it. I can survive the teleport strikes and other melee attacks but that bow hits more for 10k when it crits.

It's possible to hit you with snipe, then poison arrow or somethign else and teleport strike to you by the time that shot has registered and you're aware of it. If you don't want to get sniped, you shouldn't be running around on your horse without pals to heal/protect/ resurrect you etc. I mean...it's called Snipe for a reason and that character is built to take you down in a second or two...if he fights up close for a normal duration he'll get stomped on. If they nerfed the ability to do what they are doing, they'd have to balance it so they could fight longer battles which makes the rouge more of a warrior...and eliminates variance.

it usually sits at around 20k. But I'm a sorc so with wards I have over 20k resistance

Its there play style which I understand - but its annoying as hell and usually means we cant even fight back. Tend to be dead as soon as one manages to teleport to me.

Its one of the great weakness of ranged characters, it seems great stay at the back and avoid frontal assults but KB can port to me and DK can pull me to them I end up being dead very quickly in either case.

I think all skills should be removed from the game and we should all be given wooden swords that hit for 1hp. I'm pretty sure half the people calling for nerfs over the last few days were the same people moaning about the over zealous approach ZoS have in that regard. The players really have no one else other than themselves to blame every time something else gets nerfed.

They should have made the damage reduction 90%. And first blow is a do over if it comes out of stealth. And immunity from damage when you are riding a horsey or kitty katty or barney.

I give up. This is how we got into this sorry state.

Now see, I agree with that 100%. That is the problem, they never say "this is a problem in pvp, can you adjust it while in cyrodiil only"

Nope It's always "omg I died, this cant happen, nerf XXX now!, who cares if it destroys whole builds or breaks the game for PVE players, I died so you must nerf!"

Nightblades are assassins. They kill me when they get the jump on me, as is proper. They're sneaky, too; when I'm killing one with fire they run away and hide, as they should. Stealth, sneaky, assassins. Good at one thing: killing one person quickly and quietly without the other person getting a stab in.

Yep, that's an assassin.

That said, when I get those guys in a corner with my DK? They die by fire.

@mods, can you please start moving these types of threads to the more appropriate "PVP Combat & Skills" section of the forums, since almost all of them are about a PvPr getting killed by a fellow PvPr that has a better grasp of "PVP Combat & Skills" than they do.

They might even get some helpful tips in the appropriate section.
