Master's Bow weapon damage increase does not carry over

I was told that it does, but I tested it on the PS4 and poison injection an enemy then weapon swapping does not provide additional weapon damage to the weapon you swapped to. How very disappointing.

I was told it was suppose to by PC players. Apparently I was misinformed -_-0
