What's the best way to get back to Home Base (IC)?

Maybe I need to find more of the sewer entrances. But, it seems that every time I go back into the sewers to make my way back to the safe area, I end up way at the bottom/opposite end (I'm in EP). Trying to make it back to home base alive is seriously risky and difficult depending on who's in the sewers.

I'm all for that. I love the risk factor. But I'm just wondering if there is a better, quicker way to get back home to bank your TV stones. Are there sewer entrances that land you closer to home base?

Thanks,
C

Best way is to run in to a mob of NPC's and get yourself killed. You will only lose 10% of your tel var stones, but will be able to respawn in the main area without risking losing 80% of your stones.

I heard using /stuck also works, but that will cost a little bit of gold.

Yeah, there's always that. I'd be more interested in finding the best way to make it back without killing myself though.

Yep bloodporting is by far the best way, specifically if your entire intention is to hit the bank and get those stones to safety.

Always the same, people tell what THEY do and give "advice" without listening to the question ! :-)

Yes OP you have "safe" (relatively) and less suicidal ways to go back to the bank.

If you look at the map, you'll see that each district has a "secret path" to the sewers. Each of them lead to a particular area of the sewers. However, only two of them are relatively close to your alliance sewer base, the 4 others will be far away. Once you've discovered those entrances to the sewers, they'll be marked on your map. (At least I think so in the vanilla game, I use "destinations" addon and it's mentioned on the city map).

Now look at the sewers' map : same thing , once you've discovered the paths to the districts you'll know which ones are close to you.

Write down or memorize which "districts" are close to your base (probably the two eastern districts if you're EP). Now each time you want to go back to the bank sneak to one of these two districts sewers' entrances and make your way back "home" via the sewers. It's not 100% safe but both districts and sewers are designed to be quite easy to sneak (and frankly the mobs are a bit silly, well, they're mobs...). I always keep a stack of invisibility potions, just to be sure.

The real danger is still... players... no sneak/invisibility pots are 100% safe against players... it's up to you to balance your risks, also depends on how many TVS you're carrying, if your faction dominates in numbers or not in your campaign, etc. But at least, knowing exactly in what district you need to enter the sewers to be close to your faction will help you make the correct decision.

NB : I could list those for you but my game's in french and I'm too lazy to look up for the exact names in english right now :-)

Oh yeah? Didn't know about those. Do you get them at a vendor in the sewers?

Yes, the Tel Var general merchant sells them for 10K AP.

The very first thing my main characters did in IC was buy a handful ...
