So how do I spec my DK tank for IC?

With the change to stamina, what do I do? I'm on xbox so wondering how my tank should be when IC drops.

Currently I'm 2:1:1 in health, magica, stam.

Champ points are in block reduction, spell resistance, physical resistance, reduction in magica costs, magic regen and then elemental under mage for dps.

I run 5 piece hist bark and 4 piece seducer. Going to try and get the engine guardian 2 piece and then drop 2 seducer pieces. Mainly health and a few magica enchants.

I do fine in vet dungeons (hit v14 a week ago) and fine in dsa non vet when I did it at v12. I don't really hold block, much more timing it, getting shots in between with a hardened enchant on my sword.

Should I take some attributes out of magic and put some into stamina? Take champ points out of magic reduction/regen and put into stam? Switch my dps to stam based to facilitate higher stam pool?

Your set up sounds very similar to mine and I think should be ok in the change as your relying more on magic and timing than anything else. Rather than taking advice on the build here I'd say wait till it comes out, and take your tank out for a spin. You may not need to change anything but it should become obvious if there's a weakness and hopefully the solution will be equally obvious.

I'm hoping it should be fine as it is.

Got a good templar throwing shards constantly too, that helps quite a bit

For Dragonknights so far, it seems a larger stamina pool will be the way to go as we can take advantage of our Earthen Heart passives to get back stamina. Namely Battle Roar, which now gives back based on the resource and not max magicka as in pre-2.1. So in other words, higher stamina pool = higher return.

Sweet spot is 26-30k health and the rest in stamina. Champion point wise, I have them split between magicka recovery and reduction.

I used Hist Bark and Footmans (the Tank standard) for all content before. With the changes to food instead of drinks, I find the need to replace Hist with Seducers for pledges or situations that call for more chains/cc and less of a "must not die" mentality.

Did vCoA HM pledge today with Hist + Footmans at V16. Only notable problems were too much DPS on one boss or silly mistakes on others. Last boss took one try. I've yet to get into DSA or Trials (too busy in IC, lol), but I shouldn't have a problem.

    Just my thoughts. :)

I like putting everything into stamina and weapon power, having 35K stamina helps a lot with not running out of stamina, it makes Luminous Shards give WAY more stamina (since Shards return is 25% of max stamina), and it makes my Deep Slash and Ransack hit quite hard. Using a high cost ultimate will also give you a massive amount of stamina in key moments, due to the Battle Roar passive.

Instead of rooting monsters I spam some Deep Slash to lower their damage and snare them, and in PvP I can use the same build to spam hard hitting Ransacks that also heal me because of the Master Sword.

I think a lot of tanking issues people have these days is because they're trying to tank with a magicka build.. because it is much easier with a stamina build. A magicka-based tank never really made much sense to me.. a tank needs to have a strong body, not be focused on spells and magic.

Currently I'm using a kind of hybrid PvP/PvE tank build with 46% crit chance and high weapon power. I will probably have to change it around some for the harder PvE content.

Also, I run magma shell as one ultimate then meteor as my othe to help with damage. Should I maybe switch out meteor for something with less cost (ferocious leap/dawnbreaker) to activate battle roar and therefore replenishing stamina more often?
