Where can a solo VR15 grind for Champion Points?

I would take 30-40 minutes to grind a Champion Point solo before the update, then I would fish, quest, whatever I felt like once I knew I got a daily point. Now, it is taking a LOT longer, as VR15 XP is 40% of what it was at VR14 in the last zone of Caddwell's Gold, Craglorn areas I used to solo mobs are not winnable now, and I can't even get into a Cyrodiil campaign except one where my alliance has NO keeps. Does anyone know of decent spots for VR15s/VR16s to grind for a daily point?

Craglorn has been less than ideal for XP's since 1.6 rolled out.

    End zone Gold is decent.

    Cyrodiil is better (delves)

IC is the best (best XP's, plenty of mobs, + player kills if you're good enough.)

DSA is probably still the best, though. Quantity and quality.

Of course, you'll still get a good chuck from group dungeons/Vet group dungeons.

Yeah the mobs in Craglorn are hard to solo, and even with the supposed XP boost to Craglorn, the return is not that great.

My End Zone Gold used to take 10 trips around a hill killing mobs. Now it takes 24 trips, and each trip is longer due to fights being longer.

Cyrodiil is so crowded, I can't even get in to a campaign in my alliance, except one where we have no keeps so I can't get into IC to even take a peek.

I know that Public Dungeons got an XP boost (a large one), but I have to hope others are in it at the same time. My time is really limited and I don't know what time I am going to be online until the moment I start it, so I have to find content that can be soloed, except the one night a week I get a few uninterruped hours. Might try Public Dungeons again just to see what the XP per hour with enlightenment comes out to.

    .

Not once you reach VR15, since that is a 5 level difference.

The game is designed to group for VR15&16 now (unless you're particularly skilled in IC), unfortunately for solo'ers; maybe just fool yourself into thinking it's 2.175 million exp to VR16, not 850k (if you continue in Cadwell's Gold)?

Best advice is to not hurry to level cap; new PVE areas will hopefully be out later this year, and then leveling won't be a grind at all.

With using XP pots you could do both dailies and need minimal XP to grind out for one. Unless they reduced the XP gain from the pledge quests, if I remember right, we were getting 50K for a turn in on them.

For Cyrodil, go into the Campaign where you have 0 keeps and find a group to do player kill quests. Wtih an XP pot on those, you can get 67k xp from one player kill quest.

I can't shake the feeling that this entire VR15/16 addition (even though they SWEAR vet ranks are still going away) was done to sell Crown Store XP scrolls, given how long it takes to accumulate Perfect Roe (I have 7 after a LOT of fishing) to do the non-Crown Store potion. I'll try switching to my other Vet characters that are Vet 3 and Vet 6, as they should be able to grind appropriate level areas. Just a shame that my VR15 Sorc who has been with me since Beta (well, remade after Beta ended) is getting mothballed again.

The public dungeons are actually still horrible, just 50% less horrible.

Kill the a critter in front of the door to the public and you'll get decent XP's.

Kill the same one in the public, and you'll get 1/10th the XP. (Bosses being the exception.)

If you could get to Cyrodiil, the PvE dailies (not IC, but the town repeatables) will actually net you about 1.5 million enlightened, and I suspect those quest hubs are all but vacant about now.

wouldn't XP being v15 in your v10 zone not be affected by diminishing returns as it's within 5 levels? or did I miss something....v16 however would diminished in a v10 zone as it's >5 lvl difference.

I've been trying to get into Cyrodiil basically just for the dailies, as those seemed like the fastest way to pick up one Champion Point a day, faster than grinding the last Vet gold zone. I'm hoping they add more campaigns or the initial rush goes away and I can get back in.

It was definitely impacted. I had a grind circle that would net 40,000 XP. It now nets 16,000 for the exact same thing.

There are a lot of factors that affect the speed at which you acquire XP, it's not just about the value number per kill/quest reward. Travel time, TTK, mob density, monster type all play an important role. Tracking you XP/hr is only way to truly compare.

If your goal is Champ Points then do the quests with the VR3 and VR6 characters. I was getting 100K exp for most quests in Bleackrock last night, and gained a CP and a half in about 40 minutes. It would have been faster if the lag had not been a hindrance.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I used to write down the start time, do something (grind Bangkorai, do dailies, etc) then write down the end time after I used up Enlightenment. I got a time of roughly 40 minutes grinding, 30 minutes for dailies, and other activities were even slower. That's the big reason I'd like to get back to Cyrodiil dailies, plus after finishing Enlightenment, I'd go looking for a battle at a keep or resource somewhere for some PvP.

Thanks, I think that is what I am going to do. I needed to generate some skill points on those characters as well anyway, and can grab skyshards that are in their quest areas.

I think it's based around a fresh char reaching VR16 just from cadwells zones. With the exp buff you should hit vr16 before you finish cadwells gold now.

Thanks for the advice. I missed a few days this past weekend due to a Vegas trip with the wife, and had several days of Inspiration built up. Just questing with the VR3 picked up 2 Champion Points quickly. Between the VR3 and the VR6, I have quite a few days of questing for Champion Points available, and a level 40 that could be a VR1 soon. Hopefully by the time they are all at VR15 like my other two characters, Orsinium will be out and there will be a VR16 PvE scaled dungeons zone for them.
