Loading screen issues now..

I've re-entered the Harborage after completing the quest in Daggerfall and the loading screen has been sitting there for 10 minutes. No lag, no Internet trouble.. the loading screens have been crazy long since the update. Seriously, is it possible to uninstall the recent update? I can't even visit the sewers anyway because of my level. This update has caused me nothing but grief unfortunately.

Please enable cinematics during loading screens. We got time to watch.

Just since the patch took place? Lucky you, me and my guildmates (EU servers) are having this issues constantly for month and month without ZOS taking any actions to improve anything. Also guild-banks are constantly not loading even when in a guild almost on my own as others stopped playing - so no 500 members simultaneously trying to open the guild bank issue

Yep.. well the loading screens have always been kinda long, but I literally have to alt+tab out of the game and close it forcefully because the loading screen just sits there now. Never had to do that before. The harborage one was there for at least 18-20 minutes.

Yep, same here. Feels like i've installed the game on a 5400RPM Hard Drive, actually - no, the game loaded faster on a 5400RPM hard drive before Imperial City update... Good work.

same, maybe the loading screens were blocking attacks but now that they cannot regen stamina they take longer?

Something is wrong. I've restarted everything, logged back in front of the harborage, go inside and stuck at the loading screen again. I finished a coffee and the entire ESO soundtrack and it's still going.

The loadscrrens are definitly much longer. It seems, that the complete area gets loaded. If you port in an area you are very quick now. But because I seldom use this kind of port and often the port to other zones, I am really really anoyed with this change...

I understand it in the imperial city but in the other zones its not nessessary.

I hope they change it back in this zones.

My loading screens and those of the people I have been playing with have been interminable since IC. I hope they fix this soon.

Also, I have a lot of the falling through the floor and zone reloading bug since the DLC dropped.

My loading screens just end up being 1-2 minutes long, then it crashes...

Yes, here the same...before patch 1 or 2 loading screens were really long, but now all take around 3 minutes...no fun to switch the area.

Ping is still good and my PC should be more than good enough

Everyone in the guilds I'm in are griping about the loading screens. They're way worse than before. ZOS is blaming it on Addons (like everything else wrong with this patch) but even without any addons the problem is still just as bad. I've updated drivers, rebooted, defragged, everything and it still takes 5X times longer to zone than it used to. How the eff they missed this during testing is beyond me.

There are also massive FPS problems. Again, ZOS is blaming addons (the minimap being the current favorite to blame) but several people who never use that addon and a couple that use no addons have reported they're also experiencing 80-90% drops in frame rate. I disabled the minimap and had it drop from 60fps to 12fps while I was in Craglorn fighting a wasp nest. That was loads of fun!

There are some serious performance issues with this release. My guess is they did a major overhaul of the texture load/cache code and this is the unfortunate result.

Which platform are you guys on?

I'm on the PC EU server and haven't had any loading screen or FPS issues either before or after the update. I don't know if it's relevant, but I don't have any addons installed and for my Nvidia GTX 560Ti card I'm still using 301.42 drivers from 3 years ago purely because they continue to run everything flawlessly, including ESO since launch. If something's not broken then I don't fix it!

You might want to remove all addons and roll back your drivers, if only for testing purposes.

It may also relate to things that don't apply to my playstyle, for example I'm not in any guilds and so don't have any complications relating to the guild UI etc.

However, it's not unusual for large updates to have some memory loss and other performance issues which always get sorted out over time as the new code gets optimised.

I hope you guys get things sorted ok, but in the meantime the more information you can give about platform, ISP, addons, system specs and so on the more chance there'll be of some common denominators being spotted.

Using no AddOns or using those made no difference an the loading screen issue.

FPS are OK...but running a 970 it should...but a friend suffers from low fps.

Agreed the FPS isn't a problem, Today every entrance into jarborage, Wayrest sewers BC, any dungeon might as well just close the game and go play something else
