Imperial City Chests Impossible to lockpick with Mini Game Lag

I have to spam Force Lock in order to get any chests open. The mini game to pick lock is extremely laggy and impossible to perform. Am I the only one experiencing this? I saw the posts on the PTS forums but I see it made it's way to the live game. Any ideas?

✭✭Yea, having that issue as well. As was stated earlier I started going on all sound because the animation was delaying. I've just come around to getting them at a decent clip again without breaking 5 lockpics.0 -

✭I always force lock (with help of justice system passive) and works smoothly for me. Unfortunately, I never had any lag like many people described, so I am special case. Funny thing is, my rig is not even a gaming laptop....1 -

✭Qyrk- I have seen some people loot chests with relative ease. Perhaps there is a setting in the game options that is creating this lag? I have a nice rig, and I shouldn't be experiencing this. Also, it's ONLY IC chests. Every other chest in the game works fine.0 -

✭✭This NOT just IC chests - the additional clumsiness is universal.
For example:
When pick breaks you cannot start with the next pick from where you were but have to start again.
The gap into which you can insert your pick is smaller.
Once you hit the actual area of the drop it is as before but the whole mini game is clunkier and less user friendly.... like everything else since IC.
I'm sure ZOS will ignore this post but maybe Sypher or someone else who gets mentioned in the live stream and actually matters will notice eventually so we mere mortals have this aspect of our game back...GM - Malazan

Funny you say this, when I cast came hunter the animation never expires, so after a bit of gameplay and several recasts I can't use first person view as it literially near enough freezes the game due to the animations. Yet 3rd person is fine.
So in general every 30 mins or so in cyrodil I have to log out and back in to reset the animations

✭✭the reason for this is the glowing particle on the chest zooms in to near full screen, consoles and mid tier computers cant handle that amount of particle action filling the screen so it stutters.PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread
