After the last patch I noticed several things that have been changed in a positive but also some that been changed in a negative way for me.
As I wondered if this is just my hardware or my imagination acting up I thought to post this article to see if there is more people that feel same or have similar issues.
Things I liked are:
- The bank manager now shows information on the tabs that does not make me swing back and forth on it.
- The refund of skillpoints gave me the opportunity to redistribute them more efficient
Things I do not like are:
- The audio seems to have changed, not only is the volume lower but some sounds really are "different" in a non-pleasant way for me.
- My Nightblade Khajiit seems to have lost a lot of output damage, while it seems that I have more armor, it takes me a longer time to defeat enemies. My character is Veteran 10 and so are the enemies I fight in Bankorai. Primary I use a combination of dual wield (two daggers) and siphoning, secondary the bow. The bow does seem to be same strength as before, but the two daggers with flame enchantment (and yes they are charged) seem to do 2/3rd of the damage as it did before the update.
And then there are some things that make me wonder if it makes sense to keep leveling up as I understood that Craiglorn is mainly group content and as I have troubles at this moment to fight enemies of my own level I might have to come in a bit "overleveled" to survive and not to be a liability to a group. I really enjoyed the solo-play (yes this is an MMO but advertised was that we could play how we liked it), and when I finished Caldwell's gold it was not the end I had expected (I really try to keep from spoilers here). But it seems that it stops for me there.
I could try to unlock as many achievements possible, but I am aware that with the new content I never be able to get a 100%. The achievements itself are also non-rewarding as it mainly unlocks colors (well a large percentage does) while I am fond of using costumes and disguises to give my character the feel it blends in with the environment Zenimax created.
I could try another class and race, however as the system is made that you train the trainer (rather than the horse and trainer) it would mean another 60 days to just unlock some bagspace, not to mention the speed and stamina which I not even have on the character I have now. Also I wrestled through all the stories and quests already, meaning that I only have left to discover new weapons and strategies that go with them.
I am really not much for PvP, I tried it and I just cannot find myself competing with people that squeeze the max out of their characters and follow their new prey to score some points. I also do not like the "grinding" to gain some championpoints, I think it is boring and also annoys other members to a certain point as they are taken away a challenge to get to their quests. On countless occasions myself I found a free passage to the mission objectives while looking my framerate drop as 2 or 3 people agro as much possible enemies possible and then take them out as quick as they can. Usually they also take out the enemies I try to fight with all my skill and leave me with a third of the XP from what I would have gotten if I actually did kill them myself.
So I thought lets share my feelings with the ESO community and see if they have some positive suggestions for me to enhance my game experience and/or can confirm I am not the only one that experiences the same.
I like eating sweetrolls and crushing skulls, and I am all out of sweetrolls.
