Paying twice for DLC

I really, really dislike having to pay twice for anything from the crown store if I want it on both the EU and the NA servers.

If I'm not an ESO+ member and I want the DLC I have to pay once to get it on the NA server and then once again to get it on the EU server. This really stinks.

I've said this before in other threads, but I feel that it deserves it's own thread now that the first DLC is out.

@Ysne58 whoa! Your rocking two severs!? For more characters? Friends on both? But it make a since to me have to buy everything twice. Than we could all have more than 8 guys.. and some of us are to "buying" it twice, like I have eso plus, but I will also be buying it, because it's stupid that eso members only get it while subbed.

I agree DLC should be an account unlock not just a server unlock. I doubt this will ever change though since it's tied to the crown store.

I have the same issue with the Imperial Edition upgrade. Really wish I'd bought it off the website before the crown store was introduced so I only had to pay for it once.

I wonder how many people play both servers. I know several and I have a feeling it is quite a large number.

Yeah possibly I didn't because I pre ordered the physical imperial edition. So I started the game with dlc, and once I noticed I didn't have my crown store goodies I didn't care for the other server.

I mainly play on the EU server, I have a couple of character on the NA server which I use occasionally but the fact that everything I've bought doesn't carry over is a big part of why I don't play there more often.

Admittedly it's better than GW2 (my other MMO) where you have to pay to transfer your entire account to another region if you want to play there at all, but it would be nice if crown store purchases could be account-wide, or if the crowns we buy could also be region specific so we could buy the items on each server.

There's a definite benefit to using ESO Plus if you play on both servers, as that is the only account-wide upgrade that is not server-bound.

I'm not sure if it was a ZOS post or just a suggestion from someone else, but I remember reading somewhere the idea of making some Crown Store purchases (like DLC) account-bound rather than server-bound. But if ZOS decide to look into this, they may decide against it anyway, as it would remove one of the incentives of ESO Plus.

Not I... And I only have one character. I always liked putting my time, energy, and money into one character/class so I can be 100% fluent with it.
