Wait what? When did I miss the announcement that IC launch gets postponed?

Weeks ago IC was announced for a August 31st release.
So today I come back and with roughly 3,5 hours left before September first (as a member of both, the EU and PC master races) to notice

• no IC release
• no patch
• not even the promised new crown store stuff
• no nothing

Checked the official website. Checked the forums.
Nobody mentions it.

Is it vaporware and nobody cares?
I am shocked. I'll be back on August 31st, 2016.

It is still 31st in the USA... It's a bit difficult to use the IC without the patch accompanying it, so naturally it won't be appearing until the EU patching is complete sometime tomorrow.

Did you notice the banner at the top of the forums?

Maintenance for the week of August 31:
- [COMPLETE] PC PC/Mac North American megaserver patch maintenance – August 31, 8:00AM EDT (13:00 BST)
- PC/Mac European megaserver for patch maintenance – September 1, 3:00 BST (August 31, 10:00PM EDT)

So the EU server will be getting the IC patch September 1st your time, but still August 31st in the time zone where ZOS is based.

That is patently false. Many, many people asked for these patch notes. The same people that knew about the release dates/times from the myriad threads here, the big banners at the top of the forums, and the posts on other social media sites.

Even if you don't see the banner for some reason (did you maybe click the X by accident?) The patch notes, threads about known issues and download speeds should be a hint that IC is indeed coming/there.

That is patently false. Many, many people asked for these patch notes. The same people that knew about the release dates/times from the myriad threads here, the big banners at the top of the forums, and the posts on other social media sites.

So I guess you hit that X button in the corner to dismiss the announcement, huh? If I was a suspicious man I'd suspect that after being told to go read the announcements you got embarrassed that you missed it, hit X to dismiss it, and then posted the picture above as your proof that it wasn't there. Luckily I'm not a suspicious man - you probably just hit the X out of habit without reading the banner, and didn't realize it.

By far the most likely answer is that you accidentally hit the X to dismiss it. The blue banner doesn't even have that as an option.
