They look great, but goodness gracious could they stand to be dyed! Not that their original colors are bad. They're absolutely fabulous. But it's very uncanny to see so many people running around with the exact same outfit on. It's like that period of PvP back in the day where everyone was running around in all black Breton light armor with a destruction staff, daedric shield, and vampire flesh. Not bad now and again, but it gets very boring!
On top of other customization pain points (such as not being able to restyle dropped set armor in any capacity), this is a big one!

Exactly! Imagine how suave you'd look when other people, albeit wearing the same style, had all manner of color splashes to their garb. You'd stand out just as much as any of them, maybe more! (after all, is that not everyone's hope?)
Now instead imagine standing next to another 20 people... but their clothes are exactly the same as yours. Color and all. You start looking less dashing and more trite.Men'Do PC NA AD Khajiit

I would think, as the costumes are already Crown Store exclusive, this would just be a means to get more people to buy them. You know, the type that go "Oh man, wouldn't that look great in Not Beige."
