Well ZOS if I recall most of the drop sets are way better than anything we can craft and the new drop sets and monster helms really isn't helping your statement. Plus how is it fair when players will have to farm mats for hours to days or waste piles of gold buying the material just to make one piece of gear yet players who want drop sets have to grind in a dungeon or boss 3 or 4 times? How is that fair to the crafters ?
ZOS there is nothing wrong with crafting so please reduce the cost of VR16 gear to a more reasonable amount cause crafted gear isn't as powerful as some players are making it out to be. Sure seducer or hunding rage is good but it's hardly OP.
And for those players who think crafting is so OP then why are you wasting time trying to get dropped gear instead of using crafted gear?

Mats will be scarce at first in a few weeks there will be plenty to go around.

Other than that, Ill just grind my 2 levels out and craft V16 non IC update sets and get my V16 Engine guardian and im finished with it. Guess we will see what orsinium brings to the table in 4 months.......

VR18 gear costing 500 materials for one piece

I know right, They have to make it more expensive because it will be more powerful than the V16 gear you have.........

So ZOS see a pattern here yet??? Waca gonna do when Orsinium drops and it become VR18 ? Make it 500 materials just cause crafting "is so much more powerful" ?
Right now on PC/EU the guild stores are being played by a number of people who are spiking up the prices for normal mats. Nightwood, for instance, used to be had for about 15g/piece. In most guild stores in Craglorn, Rawl'kha, Wayres, etc, you now can only find it at 35-60g/piece. This has been going on for weeks, and we're talking about mats that you literally just pick up off the ground.
If it keeps up, it will be fun to see the outrageous prices these market manipulators are going to set for the new materials, which are actually rare.
*sigh* Look, people, ZOS have decided to devalue crafting so that they can get people into the gear grind to lend credibility to their next DLC release.
This isn't supposed to be fair. There is not supposed to be any sense of comparative parity. They have intentionally chosen to decrease its usefulness and will nerf that again if it ever shows signs of being equally useful again.
Case in point: I asked a question in the ESO AUA thread about whether VR16 mats would be IC only or whether they would be available to us non-PvP folks. I did this two ESO live's ago. Reponse from ZOS? Deafening silence.
There's your answer, folks.

Uh you do know new and old dungeons will scale to VR16 and drop the correct loot so you don't need to PvP or even have IC to get the new mats.

It does bother me that you have up to 60ish days to learn a trait and still the armor is worse comparatively.
Im hoping eventually the crafted armor will be better than drops.... i hope...
