just wanted to share what type of rage comments I received from someone after informing them to look at the many threads being made regarding the servers being down

If it was on Facebook, there's no point. They don't even react to murder threats.

I am a bit flabbergasted at the attitudes at these players. Unfortunately, people don't like it if they're being corrected.

Why aren't people being supportive of Zeni, just imagine how busy they all are at the moment trying to fix something that is out of their hands while having thousands of people scream abuse, saying they are useless etc etc all over the internet....

It's a sign of insecurity. When people are very insecure they can't handle it when somebody corrects them, and rather than take it as a lesson for next time they lash out in an attempt to make themselves feel less inferior. People who are more secure have less of a tendency to feel inferior when corrected, because they realize that everyone needs to be corrected sometimes, and that it's not a sign of inadequacy, so they react in a more reasonable fashion.

This has been a totally amateur psychological assessment. That could be totally wrong, so people can feel free to correct me and I won't lash out at them for it

That's so true, but don't you dare use an alias!!!

Like many of you out there I am active in a few forums (and even admin a couple) and I can say with absolute certainty that this one does have an increased level of vitriol it seems.

Maybe it's just me but I have certainly noticed it and it has to stop, have manners and respect become extinct? Are the days of healthy debate being eschewed for hate,l vitriol and blatant trolling?

It's not just aliases they crack down on: it's also legal names that they think sound like they might be aliases. Names like (just making one up based on examples I've heard) John Running Bear.

Right now all they can do is uphease the rioters. If there was something they could do to help fix this they would have awhile ago. The sad part is they have to take the blame for something beyond them as if they are Level3's meat shields.
