Armour Swap Set

Playing as a Templar, mostly solo, I loved reaching level 15 when I could equip a 2nd weapon. Since then I've been levelling both dps and healing using different weapons. But now that I've reached vet ranks the thing i'm noticing letting me down is armour. (Light armour for magicka build makes you more than just a little squishy)

I'm a crafter, so can easily craft custom armour to suit any purpose. Which is a great workaround, but.... It got me to thinking it would be awesome if you could alt amour same as we do weapons. Maybe I'm crazy, or maybe I've overlooked some simple mechanic, or addon that lets you do this. In the absence of armour swapping, my only idea atm is to craft something like Eyes of Mara in heavy.

What do you guys think? Would armour swapping be awesome? What level should it be introduced?

Wykkyd's Outfitter lets you do that (outside of combat)
Valrien Dravic -- Level 50 Dunmeri Sorcerer (EP)
Garahel Dravic -- Level 50 Bosmeri Nightblade (EP)
Tamriel Unlimited was a mistake. One Tamriel was a bigger mistake

I just knew there would be something out there I'd missed. Thanks for the suggestion. Still think ingame armour swapping would be great

There are heaps of build that is viable regardless of armor weight as long as you have the right skills, champion points and skills, passives etc.

Please bear in mind that light armor "physical and spell resistance" will be increased on Update 7.

Yes, it would be very nice to have a 'second set of armour' you could equip, just not during battle.
As an aside, as a Templar healer in all light armour: Channeled Focus is your friend.

I recently re-specced to adjust my build, think I'm nearly there. For the life of me, if I'm not logged in I can't remember what skills/abilities I've got, when they fix the server I'll have to check up on Channeled Focus.

    if you're in PC,

    Wykkid Outfitter (as mentioned above)
    Gear Swap
    Dressing Room
    SWAPS (for skills ONLY)
    Alpha Gears

are great selection of swapping armor sets/skills.

Okay, until then this may help: Channeled Focus
Basically with it active it put spell and physical resistances up near 10,000 or so. Which is very handy. We'll still get one-shotted at times if we don't block/move out of the way, but that will happen to anyone (and is in part why those mechanics are in the game).

I use this, combined with Wykkyd's Macros (all it does for this is assign a key to select the gear set and skill bar set in one go, instead of using a drop-down to select the set in Outfitter) to swap between a DPS gear & skill set, a healer gear & skill set, and a tank gear and skill set on my VR14 templar. It's great because no matter what role we need for a dungeon group, I can do it. Of course, the gear sets are different for the different roles, and have different enchants on them so that my attributes are what they should be for the role (my magicka DPS gear set has significant overlap with my healer gear set, but it's not identical - the tank gear set has absolutely no overlap with the other sets). I've also got a training setup, so before I hand in a quest I hit a key, and suddenly I've got a weapon I don't yet have maxed out at level 50, and a bar full of skills that I'm leveling.

@Rev - Channeled Focus is on my list to activate. Playing solo mostly, I've spent more time in DPS mode, so Restoring Light needs a bit of work put into levelling.

@UrQuan Thanks for the tip on wykkd macro. Will be logging into Minion shortly and adding it.

On a side note, thanks heaps guys. The ESO community never ceases to amaze me with how helpful everyone is, you guys rock

If you're soloing you mightn't need it at all, and something like Blazing Shield from the Aedric Spear line might be more suitable to use. But when healing in veteran dungeons etc, it's nice to have Channeled Focus there as 'insurance' so to speak, especially if you are unfamiliar with the various boss mechanics, or unsure of how capable the group you are a part of are.
