i was messing around today with some skills, and i used that skill from the soul line, the active? i forgot the name...

anyways i morphed it to return resources and fill a gem when baddies die.

my question is , is this skill line something that is overlooked ? is it bad/good/ ? do people even use the skills from this line in rotations? im not talking trials or gold medal stuff... just regular pve things.

let me know im kinda curious. i used it and it seemed to help a bit . i might tweek some more.

The ultimate from that skill line is a nice heavy hit.

Soul Trap is surprisingly neat and an interesting way to stack damage. I've been running it on my Light Armor Sorc and I've found that stacking it with, say, Curse with Mage's Fury as a finisher works very well at low levels. I know most people use the Ultimate though and I've found that taking the passive for 10% chance attacks will trap souls works really well for ensuring you never run out of soul gems.

and the returning resources morph, i cant tell if its on a base? just a little? whats it go off of?

i cast on one baddie , it effects 3 which is fine for me as a dot. i just dont know how to tell if its returning resources at a decent rate. i am not a min/maxer either .

I think it's a percentage? I haven't tested that one as much. But... isn't the one that upgrades to 3 the damage one?

Consuming Trap is fantastic for its resource return alone. It's a great tool for mob grinding, just aggro everything with it and be at full resources after you kill the mob. For damage it's not that great, although the Oblivion's Foe set will boost it by 100% come Update 7.

If you have enough empty soul gems the Pling! Pling! Pling! sound is also incredibly satisfying. :p
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.
