Cannot compose in-game mail

I'm trying to compose an in-game mail to someone, and I cannot do so because as I type it the window disappears and loses all text. I've tried five times before I have given up. Sometimes it'll disappear after about fifteen seconds, sometimes after two seconds. Not game breaking obviously, but incredibly annoying. I've not had this issue before, but then again I don't send mail that often.
