Check the Guinness book of records, they have the record for the most accounts ever created in an online game, well over 200 million.

That's insane, never knew... but still! the amount online at one time would surely be smaller than it used to be, I think...
Remember Runescape?
You say that as if it's something really old that died off a long time ago and isn't running any more.
You don't need to "remember" Runescape, it's still there and going strong with millions of players, iirc it's the second or third highest mmo in terms of subscription still.
Is this what we can expect from the latest generation of gamers? Flitting from game to game with short term memories, and nostalgia for something that's still there, next someone will be posting "remember that piece of toast I ate last week?" threads

Lol obviously we all played older versions of runescape When we were younger....just saw a video and wanted to remenisce a little bit. Runescape is definitly not the same game it was back in 04-05...so your comment on flitting game to game and short term memories is irrelevant because obviously if we're talking about years ago when we played then how is that short term memory? should we change it to anyone here remember runescape the way it was back when you played it years ago to make you feel better?

There are two versions of Runescape live at the moment, the new RS3 and a classic server, both are still doing very well.

I was a mature player and so was the person that showed me the game
