This is all on a PC from early 2011, so it does not even need a high end pc for it to look like this#pcprivelege
It looks great on static pictures. Animation on the other hand...

It does look good (on PC, water looks like jello on console ha) but there's other contenders. Black Desert is F2P and looks pretty good with a much better character creation-

Moonlight Blade and Revelation Online are also nice looking...that flying with beautiful scenery sells it.

ha I agree...doesn't help that they seem to be at 30FPS in the demo. On the other hand though it appears to have collision which is not something that is common in MMO combat.Sallington wrote: »Beautiful game, but that combat.... Holy crap that combat looks awful. It's WAY too over the top.
It's pretty good looking, except for the texture resolution.
A higher-resolution texture pack would go a long way. Right now, it looks pretty.. console-y.
The textures are muddy and lack definition. The PC version should have much sharper textures. There is no excuse for it to not, because the lower options would still remain for lower end systems.
And seriously, a 100 dollar graphics card can max this game. It needs better textures.

Have you tried setting MIP_LOAD_SKIP_LEVELS to -3 in ini file? It makes textures look much better unless I am imagining things.
Here is what it does:Sallington wrote: »Malediktus wrote: »It's pretty good looking, except for the texture resolution.

What does that do? I need to keep my textures on Medium, because I'll crash if I set them to high.
This is with a GTX970 and i7-4790k. I suspect my HDD might be failing, and crapping out when trying to load in larger textures.
