Armor and enchanting

Ok, so I haven't quite looked into this yet because I don't want to waste any runes of enchanting on different types of armor. So, I'll ask the forums.

When making different type of armor, (Light, Medium, Heavy) and you use a rune to enchanting rune on it to increase a stat on it. Is there a difference in the effect of the stat based on the type of armor?

Example:

Heavy armor + rune of stamina (increase stamina by 300 But only increases by 100)

If the same rune is used on medium or light, does the ammount actually increase because it is a lower class of armor? or is it the same? I would think it would increase because of the lack of armor points that are protecting the character wearing it. But I honestly don't know. Can someone clarify this for me and show some examples? I haven't gotten into enchanting yet and I would like to make some killer armor with some nice enchantments for my nightblade. So any input would be appreciated.

The enchantment provided by a rune does not change by the "type" of armor (i.e. light, medium, armor).

Some armor pieces are not considered "full" pieces (waist, shoulders, shoes, gloves) and those peices only get about 1/3 of the enchantment. Again this is not controlled by the type of armor - it is the piece of armor.

The strength of the enchantment goes along with the level of the armor. You have to craft an equivalent enchantment glyph for the level of the armor you are using. You can't use a level 1-10 glyph on a level 50 armor. Just like you can't use a VR1-3 glyph on a level 1 armor. The levels have to be within the range of the enchantment glyph you create.

I hope this helps to explain it.

Just to add to what was posted above. The only thing that affects the enchantment is if you run the Infused Trait, that can increase the amount you get from the Glyph. Improving armor that has the Infused Trait will give a bigger increase in the enchantment effect on those pieces.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
