ESO Plus + Imperial City

Would I be correct in thinking it's going to be 2500 crowns for Imperial City so you would have to buy 3000 crowns for £20 to afford this, but buying ESO plus for 2 months and getting 3000 crowns from it and using that to buy the DLC would be a better deal because of the 10% XP bonus, etc?

imo, buying the crowns to purchase the dlc is a better deal.
The 10% experience bonus isn't worth the cost, but you at least get the 1500 Crowns for the same cost as the crown pack (I'm assuming the month membership and crown pack is the same in your currency).
If you don't know if you'll enjoy the content, you can use the membership to rent it for a month, or two. Buy whatever extra crowns you need (or buy in bulk, cheaper per crown) if you decide to buy it. (You will keep items, gear, etc if your membership lapses and you don't buy the dlc.)

Right now, the membership isn't worth the money.
I'll be buying crowns and experience boosts as needed.
But that's just an opinion.

If you didn't know, the dlc is PvP oriented.

With a sub the IC would cost me £15. If I buy a 5,500 crown pack it would cost me £10.90.

Therefore IMO using a subscription to get it is the better option IF you either
a) Want the 10% XP boost and consider it worth paying a little bit to get it
b) You're not sure if you want the Imperial City and want to try it out before buying it.

Using crowns is better IF
a) You know you want it
b) You're not interested in the XP boost
c) You can afford to buy the larger crown packs and want to save a little bit of money.

(I haven't looked at how the subscription XP boost compares to buying potions.)

IMO get ESO plus for 2-3 months, remember another dlc comes out before the end of the year or early next year so you will probably want 5000 crowns,

the 10% bonus is nice imo, leveling in this game is a drag and every little bit helps. plus slightly faster research times too.
