Xbox one improved graphics

Is it possible or maybe sometime down the line could to you increase the graphics on the Xbox one version? I mean the colours are pritty bland and lifeless.. and the torches fires and lights barely emit any light and night times are not dark enough... The weather effects need more oomph to them make rain stronger and heavy.... The game is great... but graphics wise... The xbox can handle so much more...

Maybe try adjusting the settings on your tv/console? Graphics are fine for. I love the lighting and shadow effects in the game! Best graphics in an mmo imo

Could you replicate this screenshot to give a decent example of the difference?

The graphics on Xbox are sub optimal indeed. Sometimes it takes over a minute for textures to pop in, which is rather ridiculous.

Then again, console peasantry. I would have got ESO on PC if I had any hard drive space left.

The only thing I wish we could do in this game is push that fog back a little. Not necessarily the whole way, just another 40-50 meters. It's too thick, and all of Tamriel is covered in it.

If you're on PC you can do that using "SweetFX", i personally like the fog

I don't think they ever had a stable dx11 version though, so I could never use it. (I know I can switch to dx 9 but I don't want to)

Also iirc those mountains in the background look like s*** without the fog. Like 256 x 256 textures.

The game looks great on consoles, not sure what the point of this thread was. Want the best visuals? Play on PC

Having it on both PC and Xbox One I can't say it's not 100% the same on a decent cpu vs Xbox one but it's very very nice on Xbox one.
The only differences I've noticed right off are the affects of sky-shards and Templar and Sorc spells with lots of lighting graphics. Otherwise things like the world, water, sky and players are very nice even compared to other Xbox one games.

Me either. I am seeing all the textures, flora, etc. Plus the lighting is vibrant both from the ground and from the sky. Its better than it was in beta on my adequately equiped laptop. Maybe check your console, tv, connections, etc.

That's a compressed image and it still looks nice.

I understand what he's getting at, especially with night not being dark but you can't compare console to PC. Look at the Witcher 3 for example, it looks great on console but PC has so much more to it because it can handle so much more.

I know pole say play on PC then... but the Xbox games I've played have insane graphics... why can't this too? Please stop saying the Xbox had bad specs... it has the same specs as my pc and i can run this full graphics with 40-50fps

Is your console and TV setup correctly...there are very minor differences if you're comparing a comparable PC to Xbox on this game

Yeah characters are fine but the environment itself is bland i see a constant grey white fog even at daytime in the game and colors could use mor color and fire and light could use more warmth and darkness feel like darkness that's all

It's your settings...what are your setting on the console and what model is your TV

It's defo not my tv lol as every other game is just fine... I am using this tv here I got it for my birthday a few months back it's still new...

I think the issue is your Xbox settings and your TV settings
That screen shot you shared is waaaaay below what everyone else is experiencing

The Xbox one will only provide 1080p resolution
Your settings should be something like:
TV connection - HDMI (directly plugged into HDMI 1 on the TV not the receiver)
Color depth - 36 bits per pixel
Color space - standard (lighter bland colors) OR RGB (darker deeper colors)
Calibrate HDTV - do this After changing your TV settings to 1080p at 60 or higher and Game Mode


After doing all this you should see a great looking game.
If you're playing in a TV setting of 4k and not in Game mode on a Samsung Smart TV then realize the Xbox isn't putting out that so it's going to look poor. I have a Samsung 1080p smart TV. 4k is a waste as no console can output higher than 1080p so it will look worse than a 1080p TV which is cheaper.

Due to a technical issue I am currently running on a 720p TV and it still shows all textures, shading, and the models look great. There are lots of people on here that are not having the same issues as you. Seems like its time to check your gear.

Going on the picture that was posted, I'd say there is something wrong with your set up. I'm not saying the visuals are any great shakes, but my graphics are a lot better than the image you posted.

The shot you posted wouldn't look out of place in vanilla Morrowind.

Not sure if you realize this but your Xbox allows you to do screen grabs right from the console by double clicking the guide button. While I won't argue ESO is not the best looking next gen title, nor the worst (just give NW a try), but to say you have seen better on the PS2. Come on.

Here are a few images I took. It is raining in the first two I took and even with a flat sky and no sunlight and the images do not look as washed out as yours. The next is about five minutes later when it stopped raining.

I will stick with the Xbox One version as i will know every other player has the same hardware and is not cheating/botting using macros etc as on the pc.
