Do patches really fix bugs ?

Do patches actually solve glitches ? Has anyone had a problem that was promised to be fixed and actually hasn't ? Don't know if it's just my console lol but every single problem eso has had glitch wise .... Are still here .... No difference to me .... I'm only writing this now because theirs this bug that's really peeing me off it basically makes every action you try and do react a few secs later and can only be fixed by re-logging.
-call your horse , need to wait few secs
-get on your horse try and sprint , another few seconds before the controller vibrates indicating you are sprinting
-same with skills I try and use igneous shield then hardened armour right after for extra armour , only first skill works

I have 3 bugs that occur regularly and have been since launch ,
1st is that one
2nd is the loading screen, friends can see you but you can't get off the loading screen, 1 way to fix, switch the game off....
3rd floors disappearing for some but not all.

For example in pvp their was about 300 of us chasing a small group out of the castle, floor dissapears I get caught running in same spot, guy next to me stuck on horse, everyone else runs by with ease, I mail the guy did that just happen, his reply floor glitch rite? So it affected myself and 1 other out of a full army.

Just curious,

Ahh I forgot about this one, another glitch - take flight on DK is broken basically 50/50 chance it will work, the bug, is the wings will come out and you will just freeze... If you are in a fight then your dead without a doubt they can attavk you/ you can't attack them, longest it's lasted for me has been like 60 secs in a dungeon,
I can prove all these glitches occor also if I new how to upload vids.

sometimes patches fix bugs, sometimes patches create new bugs, sometimes they do both. That's this one's experence with mmo's. Just hope the new bugs aren't worse then the old "fixed" bugs

Well, the last PS4 patch supposedly fixed the lots of crashes - and I haven't crashed since.
Saw a mudcrab the other day. Dreadful creatures.

As with virtually all software that ever has existed and ever will, updates to ESO fix bugs, add features, and add bugs.

It seems like a lot of people slam ZOS for this, but it is a basic fact of software engineering in a large company pattern.

It is possible to create updates and new code without breaking things, but much more so when it's only one person working on a project. In a large company, such a goal is hopeless.

The flipside is that when it's only one person working on a project, progress is ... slow.

And so, nothing unexpected is happening here; ZOS is adding/fixing things, and sometimes bugs are created.

Except there's still bugs lingering from launch of the game on PC. Bugs that were actually ported to console. Sorry, there's no excuse for that. I've never played an MMO where bugs linger for this long.
