Unlimited Ice Comets (Meteor) Xbox One EU (Video Inside)

Hello there is an exploit or hack going about on the yellow faction aldmeri deminion (you know who) who had unlimited ice comets he can spam them over and over and over again as if it's a staff attack he can take out 50 people easy we have proof of the videos if you want to see them I can't post here as you can't am and shame.... silly if you ask me....

Be careful if you see him please report him

Well, there is one morph of the comet that gives you back 9 ultimate per enemy hit (Shooting Star). If it's a Sorcerer with the Power Stone passive (reduce ultimate costs by 15%) dropping Shooting Stars on a zerg, it could very well seem like an exploit, yet actually be working as intended. I mean, the base cost for Shooting Star is 200, discounted to 170, so if he's dropping it on a stack of 19+ players (19 targets hit times 9 ultimate gained per target is 171 ultimate) he should theoretically be able to use it again almost instantly after he drops it.

Unless there's a cap on the number of targets you can get ultimate from on Shooting Star?

Is it an exploit or does he interject a basic attack after casting? A light attack will start the ultimate buildup again and if abilities and Passives are allocated properly you can have your ultimate basically refresh your ultimate. Idk if that's been changed recently though. I know my ultimate is almost always up though right after casting.

Nope as it's ice comet it don't generate ultimate.... also I'm watching him cast it again and again.... He also does no basic attacks...

I thought it was supposed to cap at 5 like most AoE... but... *shrugs* Then again, Carve never respected the five table limit either.

It's easy enough to hack local saves and such but everything in this game should be server side. Are we sure there's no set combination/exploit that can pull that off?

It's a little difficult to tell exactly what is going on in that video, but this looks like a bug that has been fixed on the PTS but the fix has not yet been pushed to the live game. It's not a hack or exploit, just a bug. (This is why we ask that our forum community refrain from pointing the finger and accusing others of hacking and exploiting. Things are not always as they seem.)

The fix for this bug will go live with the Imperial City patch.

With respect to ZoS, they really do need to do something about players who are actually using bugs like this. Not necessarily bans, but this kind of behavior does need to get curbed somehow.

I mean, maybe it does, but I've never seen any sign of it.

Uhm if someone knows something isn't working as intended and continually uses it to their advantage isn't that kind of the definition of exploiting?

We have already explained that what is being reported in this thread is not an exploit or hack. It is a known bug impacting multiple abilities that will be fixed with the Imperial City patch. This is the patch note for it:
