Vet 14 Templar healer ..... looking for advice from experienced healers help.

Hi all,

Hit v14 yesterday and been hearing a lot of conflicting information in where i put my attribute points.

I heard you need to get to 20k health for endgame content .... (This must mean trials or veteran arena as i did arena twice on normal at v11 with much less than this and did fine.

Is this still the case that you need 20k health with food ?

If so i redistributed my attribute points yesterday and found i had to put 34 in health and 28 magicka to reach the 20k health needed for such endgame content,

This was with health enchants on my... chest.... legs.... and head.

Am i doing this correct ? my spell power didnt seem effected.

But old reports said that people put 52 points in health and use only magicka enchants on all gear ?

Any help is much appreciated .... but can you make sure your are a endgame templar healer first or at least have the exp, i dont want to get confused with out date information.

    Depends. you can cover the gap with harness magicka So really you only need about 15k. Getting meleed other then trash ( because most tanks lack the intelligence to swap target taunt and a lack of a aoe taunt.) does not happen often. So the ward will cover everything else that would 1shot you. 2/3 magicka 1/3 health is a healthy number. you want your max magicka around 20-30k Remember max magicka increases your healing. Food i would reserve for magicka regen and not so much on the max hp/magicka front. Unless you have some other form of magicka regen like engine guardian set for example. Also keep in mind. More magicka means the ward will cover more damage. Thus raises your max hp on the 1 shot front. So there is no reason to not raise both. Pvp can be a different story. but the ward does its job mostly in pvp as well.

    I urge you to keep in mind. More magicka is more spell power. More spell power on ward is more effective max hp. You getting meleed shouldnt be a thing and you will gimp your HPS SO much crawling for that max hp line that doesnt need to happen. On Boss fights that for some reason have a physical hitting aoe you can always switch regen food to max hp for those fights. Also keep in mind Food that raises multiable stats at once are lower max amounts then food with a single stat ( if you need to reach some sort of cap)

    My max magicka was sitting around 23k with food and health being 20k only when i have eaten food. With the above distribution of attribute points.

    Im thinking about redistributing to 48 points in magicka and 14 in health ... with leg, chest and head , Health enchants.

    I will of course be under the 20k health margin though. probably closer to 16k of health.

    Hi, my main has about 15k health then i use blue magica and health food to cover the gap for trials :) hope this helps :)

    I find it easier to control my health with attribute points than with enchants because attribute points don't change all that much and having 20K with food buff is just an overall good rule of thumb. Enchants can boost up your magicka based on the quality of the enchant and the quality of the armor. Plus you can finagle things more with traits and your stone to maximize your pool and not really worry about health pool being affected.

    Since you want infos from pros, I can tell you that 18k health is enough. Of course you should take some GitGud Drops (TM) before. I have 12 attribute points in health and one armor health bonus from Mr. Skoria. With health/magicka bufffood that is enough for...well...for every piece of PvE content, this game has to offer.
