Head to any Stable and stablemaster in most citys or towns. You can choose to increase speed, stamina and carry capacity (which will increase your overall bag space). They take 20 hours for each increase and cost gold.

You can also buy increases with crowns on the store. Hope that helps.

Casamir Naharis - Dragon Knight (Tank) - Dunmer - Aldmeri Dominion - VR10 - Werewolf

Yes but only for a specific character. The increase is across all the mounts on the same character though.

And, although it doesn't change the system functionally, you're technically training your character's riding skills, not your mount's abilities.

It used to be the mount's abilities but they changed it with the whole collections system.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

    ^This^

Used to be, you fed your horse different kinds of treats for different upgrades to the horse stats. Unsed to be you could feed it only 50 times, and had to divide those feedings as you saw fit. Used to be it made sense to pay for the pricey horses, as they have you an extra +10 in one stat. Used to be your different horses had different stats, so you might have a packhorse active while questing to carry loot and a fast warhorse active while PvPing in Cyrodil to get anywhere in time.

Then came the crown store, and collections... and things changed.

Now you train your characters riding skill, and all the "horses" are just visuals, all the better to upgrade to a really nifty looking one from the crown store when one there catches your fancy. And as bonus, there is no longer any limit, and you can max all three riding stats to 60. Just takes 180 days...

If someone talks about "feeding their horse" you can assume they were in ESO from before that time of change ;)

It's 60 now. It used to be (before 1.6) that there was a limit, you could only feed your horse fifty times total, so back then, the cap was 50.
