Personally I think the single pauldron look is nicer, but I can understand why some wouldn't enjoy it. With that said I don't think they would add a toggle to show two instead of one.

Well, that depends on the time period and fighting style. For sword and buckler, if you wore any pauldrons at all, you would be most likely to use a single pauldron on the buckler side, as you would typically fight with that arm, shoulder, and side forward as much as possible, presenting a smaller target, and only lunging forward with the sword when you've got an opening.ContraTempo wrote: »BeardLumber wrote: »It is suppose to be a single pauldron which isn't uncommon. Historically, if a fighter were to wear only one pauldron it would be on the sword side. The shield should be covering the other side but everytime a cut is thrown that sword arm is exposed. More likely would be pauldrons on both sides with an additional gardbrace over the pauldron on one side. Which side did the gardbrace go on? It seems to vary, which is weird because being left handed was exceptionally rare. I suspect it varied according to the expected activity. Sword side for sword competitions, shield side for jousting, and both if you were going to war and planning to wear that much armor on the battlefield.

I would like a toggle where we can hide our shoulders like we can hide our helms.

Off the top of my head, though, I can't think of any other examples of fighting styles where you would want a pauldron on that side, but you would still be concerned enough about keeping light and quick that you wouldn't want a pauldron on the other side as well.
Why don't they just reward a special glyph, with what ever ability the undaunted armor is supposed to give, that can be used on any piece of armor you wish. Better than trying to hide the piece you don't like.
