Stealing Epic Racial Motifs?

Since I wanna avoid buying them with gold/crowns, where is a good place to go stealing an Ancient Elf or Daedric motif for Ebonheart players?

I know they're from VR 6 - 10 areas only. I've already tried a number of places and managed to loot about 4-6 cupboards, wardrobes and nightstands before logging out and back in -- spending a total of around 6 hours only but had no luck.

Never had to steal in AD since I went through there before Justice System. But I used to get my motifs mostly in Vukhel Guard Bank. Velyn Harbor might be worth a look, too.

I would like to know this as well.

there are certain parts of certain armors that I would love to mix in on my other characters. Being able to find a Motif and then bank it for them would be the pristine outcome in my eyes.

Yeah same here! I wanna mix Ancient Elf shoulders with Dwemer, etc.

Just wanna save my crowns though... I know if I bought the motif, I'd end up stealing it not long after. Already stole a few Dwemer motif pages and Barbaric, so I have hope.

Dressers, nightstands, wardrobes, chests, trunks, desks, and heavy sacks in VR6+ areas (aka Caldwells Gold areas).

They're VERY rare. Don't expect to find them regularly.

And don't even ASK about finding Imperial motifs.

Yeah I know where to look for them but I want to know if somebody knows of a good place to do a little route through some specific building, to then logout and repeat. I already know of one, but yeah... just looking to see other suggestions, though I imagine they won't want to tell the forums since their money-making method(?) would get disturbed.

Thank you @Xendyn. I have been stealing from that bank before but to be honest, it is a good a place so I'll stick with it.

I got a Daedric motif in Auridon yesterday. I'm VR5, but the zone is VR6. It was in the dressers behind the bank teller person.

Later last night, I got an Imperial motif from a dresser in Evermore.

I thought that would be good too, but I don't know of any spots there that has a lot of... furniture. The Vukhel Guard Bank though... woah, over like 15 things to loot from before logging out to refresh!

I've found the vast majority of motifs in containers in houses. On PC I found them all before Justice System hit so it wasn't stealing but same concept.

Yep, it drops in all the same places that the other motifs can be found. Just has a 1:100,000 chance of dropping.

Yeah, I stole a Imperial motif 2 weeks ago on Xbox. Not with the character that needed it, and I also had a bounty from pickpocketing.

LOL.. I payed as stupid amount of GP to teleport out to a wayshrine so I could sneak back into a refuge to launder it and bank it for my other character. Got it while housebreaking.

Got Imperial from the backpacks (bag space vendor) in Rwal Kha. A guildy got one (imperial) from the Inn there. We are AD.

I have got multiple Barbaric/AE and Primal from dressers, nightstands, tiny urns on tables and even backpacks (in wilderness). Never, ever pass up a backpack.

FYI- once you have opened Cold Harbor, The Hollow city and it is populated once again-- nothing there is off limits. No stealing there
