Redoing gold pledge?

Just had my first terrible pug group, managed to carry through the dungeon to the end boss on gold pledge banished cells, eventually through literally having to spam heals constantly even though I was not the main healer, they did not understand do not stand in red......got them through and explained the boss, only for one "insert name here" to go and kill one of the adds just before boss dies so we fail gold key objective....over an hour wasted....all he had to do was not kill adds for 10 more seconds.....but nope...screwed the whole group over..

So my question is, can I now abandon gold vet pledge quest and re pickup quest again to try and get gold key? Or am I stuck with silver reward now no matter what?

Yes, you can abandon it and try it again for gold key.

Nope.

I cannot play with randoms. Join a guild and group up with people. It's a must for dungeons.

Just to confirm for others you guys are correct, I just abandoned gold pledge quest without accepting silver key and was able to get gold pledge quest again and restart.

Really, is that a recent thing? Last time I tried that, I couldn't do it again and ended up with nothing. That was a month or so ago

Well, that's another topic but I wouldn't generalize this either. I have horrible groups with guildies sometimes and good fun PUGs sometimes too.

As long as you don't hand in quest or pick up reward etc you can abandon and re take it. I did it and it worked.

Just tried again with another pug group. Having bad luck today. Had enough heals, had enough survival/tank, not enough damage. Took us 20+ mins to get the boss to low health and then just as we about to kill boss, two stood in fire and died.....and wipe...with boss at 1%....

Getting a pug group today with good heals, damage and cc/surviving seems to be like winning the lottery.....normally have so much better luck with pugs...

Just make sure when asking for dps, don't get someone who says "I'm a healer/tank but can do good dps too". While I don't doubt there are people who can do both, from my experience their dps isn't usually high enough. Happened plenty of times for us.

I abandoned before speaking to thr guy. Couldn't get a new pledge or get the silver key then. Might have been a one time bug or something.

Heh thats funny. Generally I find when a person says they can only do 1 role I give them the squinty eyes. All 3 of my vr characters can do 2 roles just need multiple gear sets.

But in general alot of dps are terrible on console.

Yeah, my character who I use for most of my group play can do any one of the 3 roles - it just requires swapping out gear and skill bars. I find it's super useful for trying to get a group together for pledges. More often than not I end up tanking, and next most common is healing. I end up as a DPS far far less frequently. I can do any of the 3 roles, though, depending on what we need - I just need to know which role I should be doing before we get into a battle.

Also, Wykkyd's Outfitter and Wykkyd's Macros are incredibly useful for this, because they make it so that I can swap between saved sets of gear and skills by just tapping a key and letting it swap each item for me.
