in Glenumbra for the ebonhart pack extra missions it is a veteran level 1 area i was trying to do the quest Lady Eloise's Lockbox: Find the gilded Lockbox but i cannot complete this quest due to there being at least 30 people in this small house area using AOE over and over again... my PS4 lags and then i get disconnected with the error CE-34878-0. this happened 3 times i logged out went to eat came back almost 40 minutes later still people standing around AOE'ing and i crashed again with the same error.

i was able to get out via wayshrine and i am now no longer lagging or crashing it just has to do with so many people standing in one area AOE'ing and i don't know why...

by extra missions i mean cadwells silver i believe it is called... after you beat the ebonheart pact story. i've been playing since i left that area and haven't had any crashes yet so it must be related to that area of people.

i guess i'll try and do that quest another day.

ESO is notorious for having issues when population density increases and spell effects start to get crazy. Over the course of their first year, they've done a lot to fix things, but they are still working on it.

What I would do, if I were you, is go and do another quest someplace else and finish this one when there are not as many people logged in. Its not the best answer, but does work for me.

Good luck man, and hang in there :)

It's just a bunch of pigs farming pigs. It's getting patched soon.

I "overheard" another player explaining it to someone. He said something about going into first person and looking at the ground to prevent crashing. I went to see what it was all about and crashed a couple times before I could escape. Didn't try his advice though.

To complete the quest in that area, you have to do several things:

    1) Turn off your pet. (In Collections)
    2) Switch to first person. (Down on D-pad)
    3) Try to look down at the ground as much as possible. Avoid looking at the players farming pigs as well as enemies in the area.
    4) Hope for some luck and try to get in and out as quickly as possible.
    5) Using the disguise that's dropped can help with #3 & #4.

Best of luck! It took me about 5 tries to get it this way. Which means almost 45 minutes with all the crashing and rebooting, logging in again, etc.

They really need to fix this soon. I don't care about people farming, but it's messing up other players' quests, as well as flooding guild traders with Topgrain Hide and Whitemeat. It's awful having to scroll through pages and pages of that junk to find anything. That much scrolling also causes UI errors and crashes... All because of a pig farm. LOL
