New thread on DK firemage Inferno Staff PVP Vet setup. What you guys think? Anyone running similar?

VET 4- About 60-40 mix of Magika to Health. Spell Damage is a bit low at 20% or so unbuffed. Need to get that raised. Health about 17K much better in Med Armor as far as survivability goes.

Two Inferno Staffs/MAX FLAME DAMAGE ENCH/200% WEP CHARGE-

FIRST BAR- BURNING TALONS (although I'm finding many can CC out of it or it doesn't work, might drop it), Force Pulse, FLAMES OF O, IGN Sh, GDB, CORR ARM ULT

SECOND BAR- FLAME PULSAR, FLAME LASH, FLAMES O O, EFF PURGE, ERUPTION, SOULS ASS- ULT

Maybe reflect scales is a good spot for one above, although I have some issues with the timing and when to use it. I guess if you stay back it is OK but I tend to be towards the front where it is less effective IMO. When In doubt put GDB on this bar also.

CORR Armor as the ULT is a must have in Vet PVP, not as important in Non Vet or PVE.

You need to have it up and just before you reach combat pop it, switch bars and have Soul Assault ready to go when the 100 Ult hits. In the mean time FLAME LASH them tell it hurts and then I would pop IGN Shield if you need help with GDB on the ready after/if you get jumped on. This is the only way my level 4 is doing some damage against V14 types in PVP.

I also run 5 MED armor in PVP, 1HVY, 1 Light, probably will switch back and try 5 Light here in a bit. This is with DK firemage..Magika Enchants. Warlock Access. Inflitrator set.

    Well it's a strange build, Reflect and GDB is kind of a must for DK there the bread and butter skills.

    Also 2 dest staff isn't helping you at all.

    You either go a dps build with 5 light/1m/1h or a tanking build with 5 heavy/2 light.

    I'd suggest getting a range bar and a close combat bar.

    1st: Bar fire dest staff:

    Crushing shock/force pulse (i prefer the interupt) , flame reach (your cc skill), reflect dragon scales, structured entropy , inner light (7% more max magicka, easily > then flames of oblivion) - Ranged bar, scales should always be up if your vs someone ranging. Ultimate something such a dawnbreaker of smiteing or soul assault

    2nd : Sword + Board : Flame whip, Green dragon blood, Burning Talons, Fossilize, Inner light, Ulrimate Shooting star.

    Fun fact 1: You can reflect meteor sending it back with 35% more dmg
    Fun fact 2: Projectiles can only be reflected twice.
    Fun fact 3: Always use structured entropy before an ultimate for an extra 20% dmg from the mage guild passive.

    I didn't want to combine Sword/Board with Inferno Staff and yes this is a DPS oriented PVP Vet Build.. I realize putting up a shield may be a better way to survive in some cases but I wanted remain a fire oriented DK. As far as reflect goes I am not sure how much PVP you do but in close combat all that is going to do is get you killed if it misses while you are trying to push the button, this guy is suppose to be towards the front.

    Maybe I am just playing it wrong and maybe it is a good starter GO-TO as you approach the keep or targets but when I play with that I tend to rely on that rather than just punching up CORR Armor and going to town on the bad guys.

    As far as Med Armor goes with Infiltrator set you are getting a pretty big Magika boost with much more survivability. I realize you are missing out on some of the light armor tree passives.

    I will try out Light at V5 again and see if I can hang in there a bit longer.

    Not at Mage 10 yet so Meteor is not yet an option, I don't think I have Shooting star available yet either. Inner Light not bugged out? PS4 console, hard to say.

    A DK without reflect is a quickly dead DK. Doesn't matter if you're at the front. It's the guys behind the guy you're fighting peppering you with ranged attacks that's going to kill you.

    Why Soul Assylum instead of Standard of Mighty Morphyn Power Rangers??

    Sould Assylum is slow as a Nutella River... in fact, no channeling skills should be used in PvP (unless you have a ton of armor/spell res)

    Now, for PvE, it seems legit

    It's cheap, effective, high dmg and can catch people off guard and is useful to put on pressure, if you use it right such as when their stunned or knocked down to get the first few ticks in easy

    It bugs were if doesn't show its active even though it is, still the crit + 7% max magicka is pretty must needed.

    Reflect is needed so much, otherwise you'll be wrecked my sorc and people who spam snipe you. When your taking keeps, vsing a sorc, vs any ranged attack, you can reflect meteors and such... best skill a dk has by far.

    Also without light armor your going to have serious sustain issues, your missing out of magicka regen/ reduction to magicka costs and as well spell penetration and spell crit. All for stamina which you don't use to attack and only need to block or break free.

    S+B on a dk is still considered dps, because you hardly take any dmg while keeping them rooted with talons and spamming whip which they can't block, if their a vamp you'll kill them in 4 hits. Also talons,whip,fiery breath etc.. are all fire skill that are used close range. What are you going to do when someone gap closers you?

    Well, it is cheap and can be lethal, I give you that. But it puts a neon signs on your head saying "archers, put your venom arrows here".

    Maybe with inmovable (skill or potion) it is an very good option.

    Corrosive armour is ok but more of a pve skill, a meteor + talons + whip is a great combo, knock then down with meteor and do high dmg, root them in the aoe after it and whip to death.

    Dk's need their ult for finishers as they lack an execute like every other class has.

    Reflect scales does really help as well as Corr Armor.
    PVP last night nailed 3-4 archers in a few seconds as they jumped from the keep and targeted me at once.

    The rest of the build works fine, I will try cyradil light at Vet 6 for 5x2 setup and dawnbreaker once I hit fighters10.
