What is the purpose of making "Ravage" potions?

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but I really am curious, why anyone would make ravage potions. Is there any logic/strategy/usefulness to it?

Lol. Well, yeah to yourself. Is there a way you can cast that to your opponents?

hmmm... So far, I think that would be the more logical answer.

On the bright side, you should be able to buy the ingredients rather cheaply from your Guild store to be used towards leveling.

Also, they made ZOS implement crafting writs, since it was the most apparent uselessness in their crafting system.

NB: Crafting writs quite often require you to prepare ravage x potions.

If its anything like previous ES games(skyrim) the potion is applied to your next strike, haven't confirmed it on ESO but I always used poison potions on my bow in skyrim to do more DOT.

Currently that is not possible in ESO but perhaps they will add it at some point.

It was mentioned way back in the beginning after going live, that the poisons would have value when the Thieves Guild was introduced into the game. I'm not sure at this point if that is even still on the agenda anymore.

I hope they bring back reverse pick pocketing for ravage potions. Was great fun!

Had anyone made invisibility potions with the 3 reagent perk that doesn't ravage too badly/at all?

Alchemy writs. So far almost every writ I do is a pancea of ravage health.(when I remember to do them)
