Bets on when Housing is implemented in the game

Seeing It mentioned on multiple websites now, I've seen people saying they will be coming back to try ESO again when housing is implemented. When do you think this will actually happen ?

1st Half 2017

I HOPE it's not at least until 2017. We need Orsinium (hopefully before 2016?) first, then Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. I'd say some more content will be needed for the holiday season 2016 too, then maybe housing.

Frankly, I don't get all the fuss. I'd rather have playable content instead of a digital doll house.

Well, they did stop mentioning stuff at first half of 2016.... so they should be working on that for the second half ? .... hopefully ?

Oh I'm very much with you , unless the housing was in Cyr then I would be about it.

Only X factor is there are lots who are really into it and it allows tons of options for the cash shop.


That could make them work on it faster than normal.

Although with first half of 2017 going all the way to end of June , that would make it close to 2 years out , if it's past then it seems something way too early to be talking about.

2nd Half 2016

Well the only thing left after 1st half (Which is thieves and dark brotherhood) would have to be either spellcrafting or housing. The only thing left for them to add from what they said at Quake Con 2014 is Thieves, Dark Brotherhood, spellcrafting, and that new vet zone. We already know the Thieves and Dark brotherhood is coming first of 2016.. so there can only be a few things to come after that

This post says it will be released hopefully in 2016 I'm really looking forward to being able to have my own home in game.

In game housing is the dumbest thing u can add to an mmo. All it does is add a crown store items. Unless I get a bank, stables trainer, crafting daily pick up boards and the ability to search every guild vendor I could care less. I've never liked player housing in any mmo, it just makes the game seem even more empty

Never I hope, player housing is a waste of time. More proper content is a better use of devs time.

They will introduce housing as new form of grind. Collect daedra poop (or from other MOB introduced only with highest lvl newest DLC). Use 1000 pieces of poop to combine it into a brick (12 hours of cooldown between combining bricks, they have to get dry on sun) and have chance for house schematic fragment. Combine 100 fragments to have a house plan. Collect 1000 bricks to erect a piece of wall.

Better only done when they made a lot more other stuff - from content to convinience. Housing can be nice for roleplay reasons, but... it's icing on the cake, and for there to be icing, we need more cake!

But it can also fit well with their bank space, great for guilds, show off trophies as actual .. trophies etc

I have heard nothing to indicate that they are SERIOUSLY working on player housing. Pretty much seems like the are still just bullshi**ing about it at the water cooler from time to time. I think they mention it now and again just to keep us hanging in there.

Well since its the most requested feature at ESO, plus we now have a confirmation of its development process, 2016 is very likely. Its still a miracle to me that it took them so long, housing is a must have feature for an MMO, especially an TES MMO.

I don't really get it. What is the point/appeal of housing? It always just seemed like a waste of time to me in any MMO.
Let me put cool things in this virtual room that have no effect on the game whatsoever.. wooooo!!!!
