Why is the Xbox One limited to one month of ESO plus? I buy my live annually because it always seems to be due a couple of days before I get paid. Why on earth isn't this possible with ESO plus?
I mean, is there a reason you DON'T want me to spend $150 upfront?

Can't you add time cards to your account? They seem simple enough to purchase around where I live and on amazon. Just asking, as I'm not on console. Then you could load several months worth.

I called Microsoft about this issue and they said the only way to purchase ESO Plus is to pay for it through either a credit card or debit card which sucks because I don't have either one of them.

Zenimax sells the ESO sub and MS and Sony get a percentage of the sale.
That's because publishers can't sell to console players directly since all transactions are done over their service (PSN or Xbox Live).
It's why you can't buy a subscription directly from the ZoS website, which will direct you to the appropriate console store.
That's because consoles are now license machines, not game consoles like they used to be.
Welcome to the digital world of corporate greed, and that's exactly what it is. There's no excuse for gamers not to be able to buy directly from the publisher.
