Active abilities and Passive abilities

Hi all,

Don't know if this has been asked before and it maybe a silly question

Can you have a passive ability even though you are not using any of the active ability on a skill line?

i.e Fighters Guild tree line, Passive ability: Slayer (increases weapon and spell damage by 3% when attacking Daedra and Undead)

I know some passives can be used like Mages Guild: Passive ability Persuasive will (Allows player to persuade certain NPCs in certain conversations) but was just wondering if other passives can be used which don't require a skill to be used from the skill line.

Fighters guild line rank up by killing daedras and undeads (so anchors are awesome for this).

So simply put, YES, you can have fighters guild passives without using any active ability.

Yes, unless its mentioned in the description of the passive.

Most passives just give you a small increase, regardless what skills you slot.
