The Trials of Rahni'Za - Quest Bug

In my attempt to do The Warrior's Call, I also was doing The Trials of Rahni'Za quest. All was going well, we beat the boss, and one of the group members ran ahead. He came back, he ran back to us, which changed our quest objective to go talk to Master Timen again. Well... After running through the whole area, that NPC was gone. The quest couldn't be advanced again. I logged out and back in, ran through the quest area a dozen times, nothing.

Sent in a trouble ticket and got the following answers.
Greetings,

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited team. We understand that some of the quests/NPCs in the lands of Tamriel were not displaying correctly. It’s possible that there may be an issue with the phase your character is currently in. We have recently released a patch for both consoles (Xbox One June 23rd and PS4 June 24th) to help address many different issues of the game including NPC issues. For more information, please review the patch notes here: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/patch-notes

If you are still experiencing this, we recommend fully logging out of your game and power cycling your console. Please keep in mind that in order to enter a new phase, you will need to stay logged out for at least five minutes. If you do not stay logged out for five minutes, the phase will not properly reset.

Due to the excitement surrounding the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, we are currently experiencing a larger than normal queue volume and wait times may vary.

To power cycle your Xbox One:
1. Go to the Home screen
2. Press the Menu button on the controller
3. Select Settings
4. Go to Power & Startup
5. Select Turn Xbox Off
6. Select Yes
7. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or your controller

There are three methods available to turn the PS4 system off:
-From the Dynamic Menu’s Home Screen, press Up on the D-Pad to bring up the Function Screen. Then select (Power) from the function screen, and choose (Turn Off PS4).
-Press and hold the PS button for at least one second, and then select (Turn Off PS4) on the screen that is displayed.
-Touch the power button on the front of the PS4 for at least seven seconds (until the system beeps twice).

When you log back into your game your character will be phased to a new layer, and the quest/NPC should be functioning properly.

If you play on Xbox and this does not resolve your issue, please try the following steps:

1. Leave the game and open My Games and Apps.
2. Highlight The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited and press Menu.
3. Enter Manage Data
4. Delete saved data from all sources.

After that, reload the game. This will not delete your character nor progression.

Warm Regards,
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team

I'm not even on a console, didn't even seem like they read what I sent in. The troubling bit was it said solved at the bottom of the ticket. So I resent my request and got...
Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online this fine evening. My name is Tuesday, and I am here to assist you. Thank you for reporting this to us! This is an issue that we are aware of and are working to fix as quickly as we can. In the meantime, try checking the area where you end up after using the portal for Timen. He may be there.

If you haven't already, please submit a bug report for this issue by using the /bug command. Those reports are full of information and really help us out in our bug fixing process.

Kill well, and often.

Taking that advice, I went back in, and this time the quest reset back to the beginning. Frustrating. So I sent a final response and was told GMs can't advance any quests because it breaks immersion (really??). I'm not asking to be ahead of where I was, just that the NPC would populate back or I'd be on the former objective again.

Finding a group can be a chore. Does anyone know of anything else that can be done? Will I suffer from this quest doing the same thing if I get another group put together? Any advice would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to me the whole quest has to be done over again and for no reason except ZOS can't or could care less about fixing the quests bugs. And you are right they did not even really read your report. The problem was with the PC version not Xbox. Priceless got to hand it to ZOS.

Yeah. I ended up finding a group needing the Warrior's Call, so I helped them with the return that they help me. Just frustrating that nothing can be done about a game bug. I've had help in-game before, so I don't get why I can't for this.
