I need some help/guidance

I haven't ever play a game like this before. I never realized there was so much planning that went into it. Let me start by say I am a redguard dk vet 10. I use 2hand greatsword and a bow. Is this a good combo or what should I change it to? I tried to do some research but I just end up more confused. Any help would be appricated.

If you have made it all the way to Vet10 with the combo you have, then it must be working for you. Are you getting killed? Are you bored using the same attacks over and over again? Why do you think you need to change something?

Last night I made a comment in Guild Chat about leveling, it was off the cuff and tongue in cheek, but after thinking it about, it is really true:

Leveling in this game is not about getting to VR Ranks, it is about getting VR Ranks with a character that you can do lots of things with.

By that I mean, I make sure to level all my armor skills, all my weapon skills (at least up to 40ish) before I hit VR Ranks, unless I have a focused character. This way I can change out builds and I am just respeccing points, not grinding anything.

How does this help you? Well, slot other weapons and use them until you get some skill levels built up. Then you can try out various methods of mayhem to see what works for you. It's just a little easier to do this while leveling a new character. Which is something else you can do. Respec your VR10 into a crafter and have them support an Alt or two. Leveling up an Alt with a Crafter feeding them equipment/consumables makes this an entirely different game, and you level the new character quite fast too. Especially as you only have to focus on combat on the alts. It is easy to make them deadly with all kinds of weapons as you level up.
