Quest Issue in Alkir

I am trying to get the quest Risen from the depths so I can get the last lorebook I need for Alkir Desert. I need the pre req quest for the queen however. Its not allowing me to get the quest. I have done the other 2 quests regarding captin marck, but I still cannot get the quest I need. Is this a glitch?I did the pre reqs and it still will not allow progress.

Im extremely close to Mages guild 10 so this one book could be the final one I need lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    I don't recall any of the lorebooks in Alik'r being quest-dependent. Skip the Queen quest and instead grab the boat at the Wayrest docks that goes to Sentinel.

    Are you AD or EP?

    There should be plenty of other lorebooks in other Cadwell's zones to get you to Mages Guild 10. Sounds like your mind is set on this one, though, so grab the boat in Wayrest.

    im in EP. Im only adamant about it because im 9/10 in alkir. With this one book I get the big boost at the end for xp. Ill try taking wayrest to alkir and see if that triggers it.

    I took the boat from Wayrest the quest is still not triggering. Lorebook guide mentions you have to have "Risen from the Depths" active to attain the lorebook. A guildmate and I went lorebook farming together. She got the the lorebook to appear I did not. It also loaded us in different instances and she had people to fight in the warehouse whereas I did not. Is this glitched?

    What is the book you're looking for? There shouldn't be any lorebooks tied into quest locations that you can't get elsewhere; see http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/alikr-desert-lorebooks/ for a good guide. You may also have already completed that quest and don't remember; check the icon for Sentinel Docks on your map. If it's white, you've already done the quest; if it's black, you haven't. Also, Favor for the Queen is not a prerequisite quest, it's just a signpost quest that takes you from Rivenspire to Alik'r.

    With one of the first books in first zone in Cadwell Gold I reached Mage Guild level 10. I am sure, that I didn't miss any book before, cause I used an addon to find all books (always after finishing a zone without that help, not to kill the fun of exploration).

    Sadly to say, after that, finding a new book happens without any gratification, no dingdong, no message, nothing, level 10 is the end of Mage Guild experience.

    Thanks for the responses. I just went out and found 5 additional books and got to rank 10. Im still stuck at 9/10 in Alkir but its no longer an issue now lol
