With voice chat being the hot topic, I would like to help you take your voice chat under control.

You can start by lowering the volume on voice chat as the default is to loud. press options button > options > player voice, bring the dial down so players are the same volume as the npc's.

Loud or music players - first you must identify them, there are two ways of identifying players, 1- there names are on the screen with they are talking 2- they have a circle symbol over there heads, now that you got there name.

Go up to the player and hold option button, select view profile. there PSN profile will pop up, look for the symbol with the three dots and select block player.

If you cant find the player press option button > social > voice chat > with area highlighted press triangle, look for the players name and press X then scroll down to Block.

Be sure to do this with every bad seed you come across and sooner then later your voice chat will be under control.

This is what Ive been doing and its made towns 100% more enjoyable experience for me.

If you keep up with this you will see that the loud or music players are few and far between and that the majority of players are polite and helpful.

I just understand why players aren't conscious of their voice chat being on and how irritating it is for other players. Turn it on to talk, turn it off when you're done talking. Seems like common sense to me....

Why take any extra steps to be courteous when they can simply force others to do all the extra work to shut them up?

Personally, I think they are attention starved and need an audience.

The most annoying thing about voice chat is mouth breathers. I turn my chat volume all the way to zero because I don't want to feel like one of the Three Little Pigs about to have his house blown down whenever I play.

I think the voice chat should be Option to Join not Automatic. Im constantly going in and leaving chat as most of the time its obnoxious, rude etc...

I do now have the volume turned all the way down, however it still should be an option to join chat in the area your in not an automatic thing

this is a fail troll. once you hit the block button a pop up screen shows asking if you want to block the player this screen will not be recorded, you still hear the player because your pressing no, the block is on the PSN side not the game side.

And open forum for trolls to troll is to much for trolls to pass up, with the belief that no one can mute them, they see voice chat as a way to troll a large group with little effort and thats the ultimate troll bait. but this is not the case as my post shows you do have control over your voice chat.

Voice chat was dead on the PS3 because it didn't include a mic, they aadded it to the PS$ and the console as a whole is better for it, even the Xone is getting or has already add controller mic support.

If you stop and think about it, you will have to block the trolls TWICE. Once in voice, once in text. They will not stick to one venue.

once block form voice chat the player trolling will never be able to communicate with you in eso and all other games as the block is a psn block not a game block there no way around it.

Once again, the two are intertwined. Such as the fate of mmos and effective communication. Text chat sucks without voice, voice sucks without text.
