I used to play on the NA server, just switched over to EU. But while I was on NA, I experimented with the camo hunter skill.
And I can say this much it was a thrill.
I started eso, first time playing, when it first came out and played for about 2-3 weeks before hitting vet 7, when I saw someone use what appeared to be expert hunter and pretty much 1 shot the whole vault of madness (almost said glass, too much destiny), and 2 other dungeons.
Searched around and found video of someone using evil hunter to do just that 1 shot stuff in craglorn. Wasn't that hard to figure out that camo hunter did that same, stacked and 1 shotted all daedra with 100% chance, 40% with all others, with the buff staying on after u kill enemy.
That was our que, it was very new, and no one knew or dared to tell just yet, we grinded a bit in alik'r desert where undead were, and then in craglorn with the atronachs. After that we did veteran dungeons, a few of which you could 1 shot. And then raids, with like vet 8ish 12 man team, but we couldn't quite complete it.
We did make it far though.
There was a guy with 200 champ points leveling in craglorn, who thought we had hundreds of points as well, which was a good alaby. He could solo craglorn, but we could do it much much quicker.
All of that was in 1-2 weeks time from when I hit vet 7, after which I went on vacation.
Came back just now, found out it was fixed just now? what took so long, but anyway.
Also came back to find ppl had finished dragonstar arena in under 30 mins with achievement, and lots of other stuff in regards to camo hunter. I think it was a pc player that first figured it out, cause evil hunter was already exclusive to pc and toned on pc before it came to consoles.
All that about camo hunter, what am I on about? Well, it was really fun 1 shotting stuff, maybe add something tougher mobs and a champion skill or some ability to up the damage a lot, without relying on broken skills. Maybe : just an example, but take sorcerer's for instance, that lightning field ability that procs force pulse, could actually deal quadruple damage with lightning shield ability.
You'd think it'd ruin the game but no, it just adds to the excitement. Otherwise you're stuck overspending what little life you have leveling with 1 champion point a day.
Like I've played diablo 3, just using that as an instance, leveled 4 chars to level 70, before hitting torment 6 difficulty and finding someone who uses hacked gear to deal trillions of damage.
I am thinking its doable, or are we just not there yet, stuck down to modernization of equality, making stuff balance out for the slow minded or what not crap.
