Characters walk like jumping cars

They look like human, talk like human. But when a rock like 30cm high in front of them, they simply can't raise their feet to cross or step on it. Actually, jumping is the only way they can cross it. My steps of my home are all 30cm high, do I have to jump evey step in order to go upstairs?
And when the rock is higher than the characters can jump up, say half a meter. They don't know how to climb up, even a rectangular one with a flat top. Really? Is this a car with a jumping button? Cos I couldn't think of anything organic move like this.

Seriously though I get what your saying.. you can't walk over certain rocks and such but somehow you can walk up staircases in towns etc. It's because they just coded it as something you have to go over or around. It's worse when it happens to you while mounted. I mean of course your horse could step over a rock but sometimes, you have to jump it. I see it happen in tons of games.

If you think the rocks are bad, wait til you get that invisible NPC on an intercept course with you. I'm pretty sure my kitty cat would run him down. Nope. Like hitting a brick wall.

Yes, so the characters don't walk like elephants. If the rocks are not meant to step over. Shouldn't they just rise the high of those rocks, say 80cm maybe, but a 30cm tiny rock?
