First off, kudos to the team for finally fixing the issue. While it took a long time and impacted a lot of people, I'm glad it is fixed. I finally got to play last night after 3 days of not playing. I know lots of folks want some sort of compensation or an apology, etc.
What I want is a pinky promise that this next maintenance isn't going to reintroduce the bug that broke everyone. Because then we'd be heading into another weekend and lots of potential downtime.
I do think it's fair for us to all critique both the social media / community relations team and the customer support team on this issue. A global game company that operates as a SaaS (software-as-a-service) company is beholden to simple expectations in terms of transparency and communication. A lot of folks speculated that the DevOps team was more interested in looking at the test server streams and results than into this issue. Hopefully that is just speculation but it was curious that on the first business day after the outage it got resolved while it remained broken over traditional non-working hours.
We love this game and want to keep loving it.
As a thank-you to the team that works so hard on this, I'm buying ESO Plus and 5000 crowns tonight with the notion that the entire team at ZeniMax has learned from this experience and promises to make it better. I hope other gamers on here will do the same as a good faith. I want this game to last and stick around for a while!
