Are writs really that important you'd log in just to do those?
Fairly new to the game and haven't been doing any weird so this is a genuine question.
Hey.
I've been playing ESO since closed Beta and have also been a firm Sub since Launch. I have played a lot over the past year and a half and have gotten over 850 hours of playtime.
The problem I have at the moment is I can not really bring myself to play anymore. I log on, do all my crafting Writs, feed My Horses and get My Mail, then come off again.
I feel really burned out on ESO but I don;t want to be because Imperial City looks awesome but I'm not sure I'll have the strength to play it because I feel so exhausted when I'm playing.
Any tips or Advice?
Take a break. Don't log in even one time between now and the DLC launch

Like crushing debt for student loans that don't get you a job since they've all been outsourced/insourced, gross class inequality and financial terrorism, ecological and social collapse, medicine for profit, the greedy living forever while we suffer and die from curable diseases, having your intellectual property stolen because you can't afford to defend yourself taking away another avenue to earning a living, getting thrown away after decades of service the first second we aren't immediately useful to some corporation?
Yeah, life's a real peach. Have fun!
Well if you really suffer under Burnout, then the best solution is calling a doctor. That said, I don't think you really suffer under a Burnout Syndrome, but actually a fading interest in gaming and that's pretty normal for most people in this world.
Games are quite repetitive, that's why they are so addictive. Everyone can just play for a bit and then we forget the time and relax, after all its an automated process, not much thinking involved so our brain shuts down while we play. In that process, we only see what we always see, but no longer the fun things about it. When did you last laugh about an orc? When did you last look at an NPC and think "hmm, hello Lady"...
The consequence of just logging on because you always do it, tends to be a feeling of "actually I don't have fun anymore, but its just what I always do in the evening so I keep going".
To break this cycle requires quite some self control and confidence, but looking for other hobbies or taking the wife out more often can help a lot. As less you do something, as more interesting it will become again - that's why people who do a lot of things, tend to be more successful in them, than someone who only has one thing. Look at all the actors, musicians ... they don't just make movies or music, they do a lot more and you have to, else you just get bored and in the end burn out and have to stop completely.
Anyways, long talk...
try to find other things in life that keep you busy. Look into the stars, join a sports club, go play Billiard with friends, start to dance ... life has a lot to offer and you will see, soon ESO will be a completely different thing for you. No longer a habit, but an actual "side story" to your life.
The IC or any future content shouldnt be in your head today anyways, don't look to far in the future, there is no point in it. A huge cow could fall from the sky tomorrow and kill your internet in town, what will you do then?
