I have some ideas / additions to the current PvP system in ESO that I think would add more freedom of playstyle.
I was a long time player of Dark Age of Camelot. DAoC and ESO have extremely similar styles of PvP. That is, they are both about massive zergs that use siege weapons to take control of keeps in a massive PvP zone. The zergs are fun, and definitely have a right place, but the smaller scale PvP seems to be lacking. DAoC also had smaller PvP zones called battlegrounds. These were essentially the same concept as the massive zerg style PvP zone except on a smaller scale. In the Battleground, there was only one contested keep located in the center of the zone, and each of the three factions had a home base (safe zone) where they entered or left the Battleground. This form of PvP didn't put on the player as much of a need to find a raid group as Cyrodiil does. A battleground would be a place where 1v1 would be a lot more frequent.
I am also not satisfied with the repeatable quests in Cyrodiil. They seem to just stick to one small area, and you never run into any PvP while doing it. A battleground could have some more repeatable quests that sends all the factions to the same area to encourage PvP. World of Warcraft did an okay job of this with the Timeless Isle in their previous expansion. And I think it worked even better about 8 years ago during their Burning Crusade expansion in the area called The Isle of Quel'Danas.
I think it would be a great move to create a few campaigns that are similar to the Battlegrounds I just described.
