Can't see the names/depleted health bars of dead enemies.

When I look at corpses no names or health bars pop up. When my brother does it he can see them. I can loot just fine, but it's really annoying in public dungeons when trying to identify bosses. We've compared settings and neither of us can determine what's wrong with my game. Anyone know what toggles this?
