Monk archetype /class

I'm kind of piggybacking on someone else's discussion but I had a thought. I would love to see fist weapons in this game. Play a monk type character. But you would have to wear light armor because kung fu masters don't fight in leather jerkins. Of course, you would have the option for a stamina build and one of the first passives to invest in while using fist weapons is to convert the magicka bonuses of light armor to stamina. That way you have the option to make a stamina monk or a magicka monk. You would also need a fist weapon passive to naturally increase resistances while using fist weapons AND light armor so as to not have overpowered characters. It's completely viable and kind of new for elder scrolls, as far as I know.

So here are a couple of ideas just of the top of my head. Mostly just passives that are only active while wearing 7 pieces of light armor (yes, every slot) and with fist weapons equipped. Damage penalty for using medium, major penalty for heavy.

20%/40% increase to physical/spell resistance while wearing 7 pieces of light armor and fist weapons. Penalty for medium/heavy. This passive will try to keep their survival on par with a medium armor melee dps. Max of 2 points to invest.

Convert max magicka/magicka regen bonus of light armor to stamina while wearing 7/7 LA with FW. This would be optional for a stamina build. Max of 1 point to invest.

1%/2% chance to dodge attacks per piece of light armor equipped. This is a passive that will be unlockable in the fist weapon skill line with no requisite number of light armor pieces with a max of 2 points to invest.

Obviously, this kind of class would be locked in to using fist weapons on both bars or else they lose out on necessary passives. But the trade off would be that it would be real fun and you know you would play it. If it were a new class altogether it would take a while to test this out and write skills to put them on par and not OP like every new class when it comes out in every mmo.

Possible skill lines;

Iron fist: Focused on damage. Mostly melee abilities that are more burst oriented.

Brawler: Mix of survivability with some dot damage.

Zen Master (name is a work in progress): Focus on health regeneration and healing. Morphs could include some minor resource regeneration or something like that as this skill line would be more healer and support.

Needless to say making a tank with this class is not really a choice. But then again, and I'm not trying to knock anybody here, sorcerers are not really set up to tank either. You can be a battlemage archetype and maybe even pretty awesome at it. I'm just saying.

Anyway, just some ideas. And don't bother arguing about which class can be a better tank and how you rock at being a tank sorcerer. This isn't about you.
