so i know that grinding with one other person gives u more xp than grinding alone...but do you guys actually have to be attacking the same enemies to benefit off the XP boost? or can i be around the corner killing my own set of enemies, and it still work?

You don't need to hitting the same enemy. If you have the Ring of Mara on, I heard you don't even need to be in the same area.0
