ESO Easter Eggs

Just wandering to see what Easter Eggs you have found in the game.

Personally I believe the game has a lack of Easter Eggs and more should be added to the game.
Previous TES games where packed with Easter Eggs and little secrets, making ESO seem almost soulless or empty in comparison :(

Discuss what you think.

My own video showing some Easter Eggs in the game:
PS Not the best video in the world haha.

I didn't watch the video (I will later when I'm not at work), but my favorite easter egg I've found in ESO is the inscribed flute in Crow's Wood. It's a gift from M'aiq to his son M'aiq!

With Caliper's laying nearby. Maiq is always searching for calipers but never finds any. Where could they have gone!
    I want spell crafting.

If you want a real list, use the "Search" feature at the top for, you guessed it, "Easter Eggs". At one time, back in April 2014, there was an entire thread, but I didnt take the time to find it. Also, add the other starter zone to your list, you missed both Kenarthi's Roost and Betnick as not having Maiq. Otherwise, decent vid.

Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

Huh? Khenarthi's Roost has M'aiq... That's the first place I ever found him in ESO! He can be found either on a small island off the West side of the island (close to both the entrance to that cave where you protect the Spriggan going around cleansing the tree roots, and the place where there's that named crocodile mini-boss), or overlooking the sea directly to the East of the Northern half of the Temple of the Mourning Springs.

Fun fact: The term Easter Egg in the context of finding hidden secrets comes from The Rocky Horror Picture show. The movie crew had an actual Easter Egg hunt one day on the set, and three eggs can be seen in the film because they were never found on the hunt.
If you chase two rabbits, you will lose them both.

And he just keeps saying it.

Even when M'aiq is actually correcting him in the video.

No, it's actually "mah-EEK." You can listen to him tell you how to pronounce his name since, like most Khajiit, he speaks in the third person.

Betnikh has M'aiq and he spawns really close to the Seamount fortress and is easy to find.

I found a guy on the beach near the Lord Stone in Deshaan, going on about how some glowing mushrooms were doing it wrong or something.

Also, there's a book in Skyrim (at least in Skyrim, might be in other titles as well) entitled "Mannimarco, King of Worms" which is presumably where the main plot of the game derives from.

He's got three spawn locations on Betnikh, like most zones. One's up on the north coast, one's near the fortress... I forget the third Betnikh spawn point though.

He's got three spawn points per zone. So there's three places you can find him on Betnikh, three places in Glendumbra, three places in Stormhaven, ect.

He's got something like 52 potential spawnpoints game wide.

Hahaha, I made a thread exactly like this over a year ago!:P

There're actually quite a few, you just have to look hard to find them;)

There's a crafting station in Reaper's March(at least I think it was a crafting station) full of big cats(lions?) with hilarious names like Lazum-Dar and...to be honest I can't remember the rest, you'll have to find out yourself but they were quite awesome!

There's an orc in a fort somewhere, alas I don't even remember the zone, but it's a fort full of aggressive orcs where you have to go for a quest and there's a river inside it, and by this river there's a non aggressive fishing orc. You can chat to him and he says something along the lines of "Why does everone have to fight? There's enough fish here for everyone."

Just today I've been shown a...kinky...quest in Stonefalls about a guy who has an...unusual fetish concerning Daedra  Search near Softloam Cave!

Some of the lorebooks are pure jewels, not sure how much of an Easter egg that is but for example that book written by a Dremora... xD "And then I decided to yell "I WILL DESTROY YOU!"(or whatever it is they say...been a while lol) and chase the enemy with my giant 2h sword"...Skyrim anyone?

Also, do you know what happens if you spin your character fast enough in character choosing window?;)

I believe there are more but that's all I can remember for now. I'll be back if I think of more.

There's actually a couple different animations that can play. So the reaction won't be the same every time. I think it also applies at the dye station, though I could be mistaken with that one.

As for another one, there's a naked Nord in Deshaan who claims he was attacked by a witch. Some of you know what that's a reference to.

Shhh, don't ruin it for the OP!

And hm, I dunno about dye stations, haven't tried.

In one of the solo delves in the rift, there is a skeleton frozen to the ceiling hanging down. Just out of reach, wedged in the snow, is a sword. The cave is filled with frost trolls. Remind anyone of any scene from a well known movie about Wars among the Stars?

It was. Same setup there, too. Frost Trolls, a cave, some poor schmuck hanging from the roof, out of reach of his boat oar sword.

Oh I remembered something else. Cyrodiil actually has a lot of very neat interesting places. They aren't marked on the map but they're there, like Vaermina shrine surrounded by her followers who you can talk to and hear some interesting insights about Vaermina worship, or a cheery necromancer's house - he has skeletons as servants and a nice friendly skele composition in front of his house. You can chat to the guy and he'll tell you all about the benefits of undead servants(I think, been a while) lol.

After completing the quests which are set around the battle Vivec's Antlers in Stonefalls.
Holgunn will say, "The Ebonheart is saved! We are once again in our debt. Maybe we'll make you the new Thane of Whiterun. After all, they'll take anyone!"
