Lately I've been ruminating on the future of ESO's storyline and I've decided to lay my thoughts out here for discussion.
On another thread I pointed out that if you continue destroying Dark anchors after you complete the main quest Molag bal gets some new dialogue. Examples
Throw aside the pawns my knight
I do not want revenge I want your submission
Bend your knee to me and you shall have your army
Your time in my realm has made you strong... As was expected.
You shall be the killing blow against our enemies.
This seems to me to be a clear indication that in the future we will be able to change sides. Why? Who would be our enemies?
Mephala.
There are various lines of evidence and hints that seem to indicate that the devs have something big planned for The Webspinner She has been featured prominently in a number of storylines. Most notably in the Crypt of Hearts and Fungal Grotto. Also her realm was previewed. Another bit of Dialogue from Molag bal
"Where is Abnur tharn? Where does he hide?"
I believe he is in Mephala's realm. Tharn has enlisted the aid of Daedric princes before and who better to protect him from Molag bal's vengeance (and possibly yours) but another daedric prince?
Cutting to the point. I think the storyline will follow a path in which we are obliged to choose between serving Mephala or Molag bal.
