Looking for a non healing support build

I have played support in most games; bard, CC, reactive dmg buff dps. This game seems to be all about dps or healing with few skills to buff a party or debuff enemies. I want to play a Redguard support as either melee or magicka or both. What are some builds that allow that? Here are some of my thoughts:

DK bubble healer (love shielding and preventiing damage) I also can get three stuns with this class - Should magicka
Stunlock, disorient build - Use melee build with multiple stuns?

Should I always put 62 points in stamina or magicka or can I put 45 in one and 17 in the other?

What are some support type builds that are not primary healer?

Templar spear shard spam with volcanic rune control. You boost others with repentance, cleansing and shield warding if you take resto staff for secondary.

Magicka nightblade extreme funnel health spam with crit-pale (Impale) boosting other players crit chance. You do lotus fan + fear for constant cc, cloak for escape

Dk tanky dps, high on control and group Buffs. Talons, obsidian shield, bone shield, grip and silver leash.

Sorcerer streak, minefield, volcanic rune and restraining prison. Constant lockdown, fragments spam.

Aside from NB i had no idea. Good to know there are builds like this out there!

You have to take note though, support builds would mean lesser dps, as your resources are divided into utility and Damage dealing. In group pulls, control builds are really awesome but against a single target boss.. Usually they fizzle out.

You can however, split your rotation, doing damage on one bar and support on the other. Because of the primary resource being used for damage, using secondary resource for utility really limits your output. Thus going hybrid may seem to be the way.

This leads to hybrids not putting out numbers as high as pure dps builds. If you are running in a group that is setup for support builds aka heavy armored dps tank, pure glass Cannon build, dps Healer build and your support build, you will find that doing dungeons requires a but more finesse than the classic group setup. It can be done but you need like minded individuals.

With that said, im hoping to see more of these group setups as it really innovates the concept of the Holy trinity, making support builds viable thus making hybrid builds really awesome in end gaming.

Wow. thanks for the responses. I like the ideas. Question, if I run a stamina DK and use boneshield or Spell ward will that scale off my magicka and be weak or will it do the same regardless of my magicka? The question is, as a Redguard, do I have to go magicka to do support when my strength is stamina? If I go magicka, what do I do with all my stamina?

A tank isnot a healer, if you go to deltiasgaming on youtube there are a lot of good builds for pvp and for pve.

Redguard doesn't seem like an obvious fit for a support role, but here's an idea.

Sorcerer.

You can use Dark Conversion to drain your stamina and restore your health and magicka, thus turning the Redguard's high stamina into magicka you can use for support spells and health to keep you alive.

You can then use your magicka for:

Absorption Field: stuns enemies, dispels enemy-placed effects, and buffs your teammates.
Restraining Prison: immobilize, then slow, enemies
Weakness To Elements (destruction staff): reduce enemy spell resistance
Ward Ally (restoration staff): Shield a teammate and yourself
Combat Prayer (restoration staff): buff teammates and increase their damage

And Tangling Webs from the Undaunted tree could also be a good support choice to slow enemy movement.

That's a pretty pure support non-healing role. You should be able to layer those skills. Start out with Restraining Prison and Weakness to Elements to slow/debuff the enemies, then use Combat Prayer and Absorption Field to buff/heal teammates and dispel enemy effects. Maybe Ward Ally to shield a tank in your group.
